  • Purchased this in an effort to avoid xenoextrogens for an experiment.
I primarily purchased this while doing an experiment where I avoided all synthetic products, plastics, and xenoestrogens. Good for that purpose. Smell fades fast.

  • I really wanted this to work.
I’m currently 26 weeks pregnant and I broke out in a horrible rash. I’m not sure if it’s PUPPP or not as it’s not itchy but a friend recommended this to me so I thought I’d give it a try. First of all, the smell is not strong and disappears after you dry off. It doesn’t leave my tub sticky or messy. It is a bit small in size, but that’s fine as a little goes a long way. Now, the first time I used this, it was amazing! I have very sensitive skin and like I said, I broke out in some kind of pregnancy rash that left me miserable. After the first use, parts of the rash “melted” off of me. Kind of like when you get sunburnt and the skin peels. It was amazing. My skin was so soft and not dried out. I checked on my skin throughout the day and was pleased with the outcome. ...then I woke up the next day. I had new pieces of rash of me and what parts of my skin I thought were healing, boy was I wrong. Stupidly, I used the soap again because I wanted it to work so badly. It left me so dry and my skin so red and inflamed that I started crying. I was even bleeding in some areas. I was so confused as to what was wrong. Is my skin just that sensitive? I even used it on my face to clean it and I actually turned bright red and broke out on my face in acne, which is something that doesn’t happen to me. It’s almost like it cleaned the skin but also brought all the impurities under the skin forward. I’m at a lose for words. I don’t know if I should continue using it or not. Nothing is helping my rash. I’m literally covered in bandaids to keep them from getting worse or infected, but it’s still “spreading” around. My skin is NOT itchy, at all. So I’m so confused as to what is going on. I have had skin issues for 10+ years, been to many dermatologists and doctors for help and no one can pinpoint anything. Like I said, I really, REALLY wanted this to work, needed this to work and it backfired. ... show more

  • Great soap!
It’s hard to describe the scent but if you smell it once you’ll know what pine tar smells like and you never forget it (in a good way)! It moisturizes skin leaving it feeling incredibly softy. It is also great at stripping all excess oils from beard and face yet somehow leaving it feeling soft and healthy. When I opened my first bar and used it I had to close the bathroom door at night because it was so strong I could smell it from down the hall but it does tone down after 2-4 uses (the smell literally punched me in the face when I opened the mailbox). I love it when I get a new bar in and I can smell it when I go to check the mail. Like I said it’s hard to describe the smell, other than saying it smells manly as hell and just like my grandpa used to smell ( I am 19). Absolutely love this soap. I usually use it on my beard no more than every 5-7 days and use on my body everyday. I have a very oily face and most acne washes just make me break out unless it’s oil control, and I haven’t had a single pimple since I started using this. 10/10 love this product and would certainly recommend any man to try at least once. Y’all made a regular customer! ... show more

  • Worked for my PUPPs
This did the trick for my PUPPs, which admittedly seems like it was a mild case, but still had me straight up losing my mind after a few days. Lots of different tribal knowledge out there on how to deal with PUPPs, here's what worked for me... -Zurtec in the morning. (I'm not a doctor, mine recommended this) -This soap, 2 to 3 times a day in a cold shower (saw one girl that said she used super hot water to cure her PUPPs, but I stuck with cold, it was more comfortable and soothing) -Cetaphil lotion after shower (The magic of this soap doesn't seem to be that it dries your skin out, it seems to be something else about it that does the trick. For me, when my skin gets dry I get more itchy. So, I used this soap but also made sure to prioritize moisture. Some people say that moisturizers made their PUPPs worse, it didn't for mine) -Burts Bees Mama Oil for more moisturizing. Lately I've been layering the oil on top of the lotion, highly recommend, feels quite luxurious. It does take a minute to absorb, to adds a bit of time to the morning routine. -When my PUPPs was particularly bad, instead of the Mama Bees Oil I used straight up Glycerine. You can get it at the drug store. Its intensely hydrating, which is great for PUPPs, moisturizing is key to getting the rash to go away. Also, the glycerin is thick so it blocks irritants from rubbing your skin and making it itch more. It was kind of a like a protective barrier, really helped me out. -Caladryl lotion as needed when it got itchy (for me, this worked WAY better than hyrdocortisone cream) -V8 juice once a day (not sure if this is doing anything, its something I saw online. And, I was losing my mind so I just tried all the things. And I like V8 anyway, so NBD) Yes, this soap smells aggressively like a campfire. My whole bathroom smells like a campfire. But, I don't (think that I) smell after showing. Also, I'd have showered in a manure scented soap if it made the itch go away, so its whatever. ... show more
