When I turned 50, I knew I needed to get some kind of cleanser for my face that would have an impact. This definitely fits the bill. I've been using this for a few months now, so I can give a more accurate review. When I first started using it, there was definitely a slight stinging sensation to my face, so definitely do a patch test and ease into using it over time! As my face adjusted, I no longer felt the tingliness at all. Now, my skin just feels and looks clean. When I finish using it, I feel like my skin is completely as clean as can be and feels very smooth. From there, I add a retinol, then follow with a cream that has hyaluronic acids and peptides. All in all, I took a picture of myself and posted it on Facebook. People couldn't believe how good my skin looks. I consider this an essential daily part of my daily face regime. Again, you MUST do a patch test and ease into it- start twice a week, and then build from there. It took me almost a month for me to get to using it every day. I added cleaning my neck, all the way to the top of my clavicle- I am still breaking that part in, but my skin in that area is adjusting well. This is a pretty strong cleanser- I may even rank this as a kind of microdermabrasion or minor skin peeler. I highly recommend and hope everyone gets the same benefit I get! This product is thick and a little goes a long way. It is not grainy so you will not be able to use it as a scrub. I use it daily on my face and elbows it leaves the skin soft and refreshed. Continued daily regimen will brighten your skin a little. It's a good value and it'll last you over a month.

I found this cleanser with glycolic acid & salicylic acid did brighten my skin. It was as if a dead layer of skin cells was removed because my skin did feel refreshed after using it. I do limit my use of it though. I used it twice & haven’t since. Using it daily like the directions state would not mix with my daily skin routine. This is where my “but” comes into play. There are limitations on what other skin serums that can be used with the 2 ingredients in this cleanser. I apply vitamin C serum daily. I also use a retinol serum at night. Glycolic acid & salicylic acid do not mix at all with: Vitamin C, Niacinimide or Retinol. The ph levels in C serum & Niacinimide throws off the purpose of using this cleanser on your skin. Using this cleanser with Retinol creates irritation. I didn’t realize this until I looked into what skin ingredients I could safely use with this cleanser. The only serum that is safe to apply with this cleanser is Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I will only use this cleanser at night followed my hyaluronic acid & CeraVe’s PM moisturizer which is safe. Also if you use this cleanser you must use caution with any sunlight because it will irritate your skin without sunscreen. I’ll pass on purchasing again. Using Niacinimide serum solely will serve the same purpose of this cleanser. I hope this helps in deciding if this cleanser is for you. ... show more
