I remember when Frixion pens first came out, and they were a little iffy. They have come a long way since then! I love the colors in this set, even though some are a little light on white paper. The writing is smooth, and the ink erases well. The pens DO open, by the way, at the point where the rubberized grip meets the rest of the barrel. Love Frixion and love the contemporary soft colors. Yes, beige ink is beautiful. They write with a smooth, thin line and erase completely. I have a couple of sets.

The pens write well and erase easily. The black, beige, and red are easily visible but the rest of the colors are very light and hard to read.

    • Great erasable pen set!
This is the first time I order stationary from the Japan side of Pilot and wow, the difference is real. These pens don't spit out ink like crazy and have very little smear to them if at all. Because they don't release more ink than you need, it is very easy to erase without leaving any trace behind. The variety of colors are great and make it worth the price. If I had to critique one thing, the vibrancy of the colors themselves aren't as bright as the other frixion pens. However, given the fact that the ink erases as well as it does it is well worth the tradeoff. They have become my new favorite pens to use for planning and note taking. These erase nicely. Colors are cute. Maybe it’s the 0.5, but to get the best writing results you kind of have to write perpendicular to the paper. The further away you get from perpendicular to the page, the less and less the writing experience gets: the pen puts less ink down and becomes scratchy and ink drops out here and there. ... show more

    • Not Pigmented Enough
The colors are pretty hard to see on white paper. The only ones that really show up are the black and red. They erase well but if you wrote on both sides of the paper, it'll erase the other side through the page. The pens also do not open
