  • Looks great on my keyboard!
Color: Classic Black
This is a great tool. I am coming back to piano after a very long time. This is helping me relearn the registers.

  • Helpful Aid for Beginners and more Experienced Players Alike
Color: Classic Black
I’ve seen a number of products like this as I have browsed Amazon. I have been playing piano for a while so I am already familiar with how the notes ascend and descend on the keyboard. I am less comfortable in reading notes that fall way above or below the staff. I was hopeful this rubberized strip of notes would help orient me to these less familiar notes when I try to read chords or notes from a page of music. I also hope having this visual aid will help me as I try to analyze more extended chords that I play, when playing by ear. I am sure a total beginner would find this product helpful. I would caution that the leaner should be shown and learn the how notes are laid out so they are not lost if they are using another piano or to avoid becoming entirely dependent on this aid. From the photos I included, you can see the strip lays flat on the keyboard and should not obstruct playing. I have a 30 year old 88 key Roland Digital Piano, and the product fit nicely., and should work on any other 88 key piano. Out of curiosity, I tried to use the strip on my 37 key midi keyboard that uses full size keys. Unfortunately, the backing strip was a bit too wide to fit snuggly behind the flats and sharps and trying to fit them interfered with depressing the keys. I think the strip would work if I just laid them on top of the flats and sharps. It is also possible the strip might fit better on another midi controller. Obviously you would have to cut the length of the strip to fit a shorter keyboard, but again this product was designed for 88 key piano. I am quite satisfied with this product. I had been looking for a note chart to help me as a note reading aid, but this product is more useful. ... show more

  • A great quick-reference, easily removed/installed
Color: Classic Black
No, they are not "stickers", at least not in the way I think of stickers. This is much better than a sticker would be anyway, as it can be easily removed/installed when you want. The material is stretchy and fit really well on my keyboard, and doesn't interfere with the movement of any of the keys. If it does rub anywhere, the soft material could easily be trimmed. Whether it helps me learn, or becomes a crutch, is more of a long term question - but I'm staying optimistic. ... show more

  • Flat and Sharps may be confusing for some learning.
Color: Classic Black
You would have to know if you were going up or down in the progression of the notes in order to use the correct note. I do like the guide marker overlay. They are not stickers. Even though the description says they are. It feels like thick rubber type of material. I do like the sturdiness of it. The item is helpful when reading music and making sure you have the right key. ... show more

  • They're not stickers!
Color: Classic Black
Actually, this is a good thing. On my old piano, I put stickers all over it for decoration, and when it came time to give it to a friend, to whom I didn't want to have it with stickers (because it was personalized to what I liked), it was a pain. Instead, this is a rubber strip that lays on top of the keyboard, and it can easily be removed and used on another keyboard! I do recommend it. ... show more

  • It's not a sticker -- which is a good thing
Color: Classic Black
This is a "one piece" silicon overlay that sits on the back of your piano keyboard. There is no adhesive, it's held on by gravity. The product is relatively thick, which is great -- it will stay in place nicely. Positives: * No adhesive; won't "gunk up" your expensive piano (or your cheap on, for that matter!) * Just lay it on the keyboard if you want to use it, just lift it up when you want to remove it. Repeat as often as you like. * Easy to read and to understand. * The silicon is silent -- no clicking or other noises when playing Cons: * None that I can really think of. It is designed for a full-size keyboard. By that, if you have an electronic keyboard with smaller than standard keys, you may have some challenges. But keyboards (electronic or analog) with full size keys should have no problems. If you do not have the full number of keys, it can easily be cut to your number of keys or folded at the ends. My 10-year-old daughter instantly liked this ("I no longer need to count keys to know where I'm at!"). I really like that it isn't a sticker, so the keyboard will remain in good shape. And she can learn -- and when she no longer needs it, we can just lift it off as if it was never there. Very happy with this product. ... show more

  • Nice overlay for a piano that helps identify the notes on music sheet
Color: Classic Black
Package contains a silicone strip of keyboard notes to help when identifying notes on sheet music. This design has the plastic just lay down over the keys on the keyboard. These are not stickers and can be reused and replaced over and over again! The overlay is made of soft silicone and won’t bother your fingers while playing. I fits perfectly over the keyboard and lays up high enough where it should not be in your fingers’ playing area. The “keyboard helper” has the full set of keys that will cover a regular keyboard. No matter electronic or a piano. We are working with our grandkids and helping them learn the basics of p,aging the piano. These stickers are very helpful because they show the name of the note and the location of that note on the staff on the sheet music. They are also very helpful for me because I always have trouble with remembering the bass clef. ... show more

  • Excellent assistant for learning piano!
Color: Classic Black
When I was very young, I took piano lessons from my grandmother, but fell out of it for several years and forgot all of the technicalities. Some years ago I became interested again in piano, and started re-teaching myself with apps, but still cannot read bass clef. This not only makes that an accessible and convenient possibility, but also will no doubt help visually associate location and improve overall familiarity with keys, even when no sheet music is involved. The rainbow color-coded one might actually be better for that, but I wanted a more classic look so opted for black. It doesn't quite sit behind the keys on my keyboard, but rests on the very back and lays down in between. They're tucked up to the back so not at all in the way during play. I'm very glad this isn't actually a sticker, and rather is a one-piece rubber/silicone material. Since they don't adhere, these can just be picked up if they are no longer needed at some point. It rolls up very compact so stores easily in my bench's storage. ... show more
