Cute, educational poster to learn how to play piano. Printing work seems nice and smooth, readable and colorful. strong durable material as well. It has diagrams to follow.

  • Really nice quality
Color: with frame
I have played piano since I was very small, and since then have learned to play a few other instruments along the way. Though I am able to play, I have a learning disability called dyscalculia (kind of a numbers-related dyslexia) which ironically makes it very difficult for me to remember musical notation, even though I've played for over 50 years and can sight-read music. It keeps me from being able to keep things like key signatures and chord progressions in my memory. It also affects me in other similar ways - for instance, I cannot retain knowledge of F-stops in photography, I have to use a cheat-sheet every time that tells me what each setting is for. The dyscalculia is a short-circuit which prevents the brain from retaining certain kinds of information. This is why I got this chart. I have several others like it for other instruments. It's got a lot of basic info available right at a glance so you can simply look at it and continue playing without interrupting yourself at all. For folks like me who have the knowledge already but who is unable to retain key parts of it - think like reading a well-loved book that has key paragraphs cut out of the most exciting parts - charts like this one are a make-or-breaker when you're trying to create music. The poster is heavy and the hanger is solid. Looks good on the wall. I was surprised at the weight of the package when I saw what was in it. Print is clean and clearly legible. Really nice chart. Going to look great on the wall of my studio when I get everything unpacked =) ... show more

  • Great reference for all, made of quality materials
Color: with frame
I’m self-taught on keyboards, primarily through references I’ve found on the web. However, you’d be hard pressed to find one as complete as this poster, with all pertinent information organized in one place. Physical observations: - Delivered in a thick cardboard tube, preventing damage during shipping. - Very rugged, canvas-like material. - Wooden ends are securely attached, and ensure the poster hangs flat on the wall. Its size (26×16”) may seem on the large side, but that makes it easily readable from a distance. This is especially nice when playing keyboards with any sort of depth, such as upright or grand pianos. Sections: - Most importantly, color-coded chord fingering diagrams are neatly laid out along with several of their variants, which of course can also be arpeggiated. - Printed chord tables for every major and minor key. - Detailed circle of fourths/fifths. An extremely valuable tool for learning general music theory, which applies to nearly any instrument. Without getting into everything involved (which of course can be found all over the web), I mainly make use of it in quickly determining which combination of notes/chords are suitable for a given tune, and also for transposing songs to different musical keys. - Layout for all 88 keys on the keyboard, also suitable for smaller keyboards. Good to have for beginners I guess, although not really necessary since all keyboards simply repeat C/D/E/F/G/A/B along with their respective sharps and flats, just in lower and higher ocvates. In summary, considering its quality materials, perfect colorful printing and completeness, this product is without a doubt worth every penny of its reasonable asking price. ... show more

  • Long time guitar player, now learning piano.
Color: with frame
I've been playing guitar for 20 years, but recently decided to learn piano. Western music theory is the same on both, chord structures are the same, but a piano has a very linear approach (notes are all in a row), where a guitar plays up and down the neck and side to side. This chart really helped me visualize the piano chords as they relate to the guitar, and that helped both my piano playing AND my guitar playing. The chart itself has tons of useful information and is printed on very durable material and easy to hang. Came well packaged. Totally recommend! ... show more

  • Beautiful display!
Color: with frame
This piano chord chart is so pretty and incredibly useful. It feels higher quality than I expected. My son and I have been working on piano and guitar together and having this on the wall in front of him has helped him immensely. We've even built some lessons off of it as well. Not only is this chart helpful but it really is a statement piece and is so well designed. This would make a fantastic gift to a piano lover or beginner! ... show more

  • Amazing and quality chord poster for beginners!
Color: Piano Retro style
This is an amazing music note and chords poster! It has everything you need for a beginner, the piano chord chart diagrams, middle C, and an 88 key piano diagram, and inversions. With all the color coding you can easily reference what you need to. As a beginner piano player, this poster is handy and great for learning and remembering chords. It's a really nice size, not too big but not too small where it's hard to read. The poster is made of a high quality canvas material that is thick and durable, but still thin enough to not be overly heavy. The poster is smooth with a matte-like finish. The print quality is top-notch. It is full color and the colors are vibrant and pretty and none of the graphics were pixelated. The vintage border adds a nice touch. Overall, I was very impressed with this poster and it's worth every penny. It is also a very giftable item for any piano player. I would highly recommend it! ... show more

  • One small mistake...
Color: with frame
This product is great quality but the Ab/G# Augmented chord is wrong, even in the promotional images. Small mistake I know but important as a lot of aspiring musicians will look to utilize and reference this chart.

  • Inexpensive, durable material, clear and accurate information but with some oddities to deal with
Color: with frame
The information contained in this nicely designed poster is accurate. However, the rows of chords are out of order. The sharp/flat chords should be shifted up one and the top one should be at the bottom. The other oddity is that the circle of fifths is incorrectly titled the cycle of fifths. I tried searching for a non-US variation of the term "cycle of fifths" and I found absolutely nothing indicating that anyone has ever called it that. ... show more
