Features

  • Breakthrough Speed: P7OOOPRO 1TB SSD Featuring the latest M.2 PCIe Gen4x4 and NVMe 1.4 protocol deliver up to 7000MB/s read and 6600MB/s write speeds. I/O speeds of 2400MT/s ensure full performance without overclocking, utilizing all PCIe Gen4x4 channels.Whether you're launching an app, transferring large files, or playing a game, deliver a high-speed, seamless experience
  • Advanced Heat Dissipation Upgrade: The PHIXERO M.2 SSD has a new cooling design. We replaced the aluminum vest with a high - conductivity copper sheet for better heat transfer. An extra thermal silicone pad further boosts heat dissipation. After removing the base, we optimized the internal structure of the SSD to ensure better heat dissipation. This helps the 1TB SSD run stably at high speeds. Thanks to these improvements, this upgrade maximizes performance, extends lifespan, and safeguards data, offering a more reliable storage option
  • High Reliability: Uses 3D NAND flash with wear leveling, garbage collection, and over-provisioning. Ensures high performance, lower latency, and extended lifespan, minimizing failure rates
  • Wide Compatibility:Designed in the standard M.2 2280 form factor, this SSD is compatible with laptops, desktops, and all-in-one PCs that support M.2 PCIe interfaces. It works seamlessly with Windows 7/8/10/11 and Ubuntu/Linux operating systems, making upgrades simple and straightforward

  • Fast, inexpensive, and hot
Capacity: 4TB
I used both the stock heat sink and the MB heat sink while testing the Phixero P7000 PRO. The GPU was not installed. The MB heat sink performs better than the stock heat sink. Even so, the Phixero drive is the hottest part in my PC. I've seen it at 80C while running Crystal Disk Mark. That's very hot. The attached screenshot of temperatures is with the GPU install. The GPU was idle. A T705 shares the heat sink with the Phixero. These temperatures are idle temps. I would have thought the T705 would be the hotter of the two. I ordered a PCIe card with a large double sided heatsink and a blower. I will see if it helps. I also emailed Phixero support. I will update this post when I get more info. [Update 1 - Blower] The blower is installed blowing on the heatsink above the Phixero SSD. The blower can get noisy when it ramps up with SSD temp. The GPU is installed and set to a 20% min fan speed. The Phixero SSD idle temp is now 50C. The T705 idle temp on the other end of the heat sink is 33C. At the same time the 9700X CPU temp is max 50C - a OCCT Linpack test is running. My fully stressed CPU max temp is the SSD min temp. A run Crystal screenshot is attached. The SSD peak temp is now a better 75C. Still too warm. For comparison I've attached a test result for the T705 sharing the same heatsink. The blower was at 25% - not controlled by the T705 temp. The GPU fan at 20% blows on the heatsink. The peak T705 temp is 68C. [Update 2 - PCIe Card] I'm waiting on the PCIe card. [Update 3 - Gave Up] I sent it back. I think my part was defective. I will also avoid double sided SSDs in the future as well now that I know they are harder to cool. I added some final screenshots of a stress test - everything, including SSds - of my system without the Phixero SSD. I removed the blower. The blower was as noisy as the other 10 fans combined - 3 dGPU, 3 cpu cooler, and 4 case fans. However, the blower really did blow a lot of air and keep things cooler. The dGPU is now responsible for the high temperature which is as expected. When I removed the fan curve for the blower, I adjusted the remaining fans - it's not a straight compare to the prior stress test. The total draw was about 550 watts. [Update 4 - Tech Support] The Phixero support response was quick. 80C is fine. I already returned the SSD before getting the PCIe card or the support response, so I will not be testing if this would help reduce the temperature. "We are glad to inform you that the PHIXERO P7000 SSD is operating within its normal performance range and there is no defect. This SSD is designed to work within a temperature range of 0 - 85°C. It has built-in mechanisms to protect itself from high temperatures, ensuring its stability and durability. The included heatsink, whether the stock one or the motherboard heatsink you used, is effective in dissipating heat. Adding a fan to the motherboard heatsink is a good measure, and you may see further improvement in temperature control with the PCIe 4 adapter card and its larger double-sided heatsink." Final verdict - fast, very good price, and hot. It is also doubled sided making it harder to cool. I reduce it by 1 star for being double-sided and the temperatures. Bias: In my case, heat is very important to me because the system I'm replacing uses a mini-itx case with a high-end motherboard that's failing from "heat stroke". So I will be paying a bit more for a colder part to put in my new, giant PC case. Cooling is now a high priority for me, so consider my opinion with a grain of salt. ... show more
