I've been using it for a month, and suddenly it stopped working. Fully charged, but no lights on. I wasn't sure if the UV light was still working. I didn't drop it and washed it with my hands only. I used it for my sick dog(weakened immune system), so I used it at home only. Anyway, I contacted Philips customer service and they sent me a new replacement. Of course, it would be better not to have trouble. I touched with their service and will repurchase Philips products.

I had wanted a bottle that cleans the water and keeps the bottle clean for me. I had shopped around and was not ready to pay. The average price. When I stumbled upon this i decided to do some research and figure out if there was some reason it was cheaper. Long story short, this is the same as any other self cleaning bottle for less money. It works the same way and functions perfectly. The only thing that I would have preferred to be different is the charger. The bottle comes with a magnetic charger that is made specially for this bottle. While the charger works just fine, i would have preferred something like usb c. I worry that if the cord ever stops working and gets damaged I wont have a convenient way to change the bottle up again. It’s a minor issue but certainly worth taking into consideration. Beyond that there is no reason to spend more on something else that does the exact same thing.

This is small but I like it. I'm familiar with UV-B killing bacteria. I have a Bril for toothbrush, a cpap cushion device with UV-B and this water bottle. Keep water cool. I use ut for drinking water at home. Would I use in wilderness camping?, no.

First the pros... The bottle is made from quality materials and does a good job keeping the contents cold. I like that it's dishwasher safe. I had one hiccup with a weird pulsing orange light ring (which is supposed to indicate the top is unscrewed) but a charging cycle fixed it. Other than that, I charge about once a week and have had no issues with the UV light. There is no noticible difference in the taste of the water with this method of sanitizing and I have every reason to believe the process is working as advertised. I mostly fill this bottle at airports and feel much safer drinking it after it's been through UV sterilization. It also saves me from buying and disposing of $3-4 plastic water bottles each time I fly. The cons... As others have mentioned, the magnetic charging connector isn't terribly reliable. The slightest amount of tension in the charging cable is enough to pull the connector off the terminals. Moving the cap or bumping the cable will almost always result in a misalignment that stops charging, so you do have to be careful and monitor the green charging light. Secondly, there is little to no documentation or support available for this device. When I had my issue with the pulsing orange lights the manual was of very little help and I couldn't find the correct number to call for support. There's practically no information about this bottle available on the Philips web site. My final issue with this device is the screw-in posts that hold the rubber top strap in place. One of them came lose while in the water bottle pocket of my backpack and fell out. Luckily I heard it hit the ground and was able to later re attach it. Overall, I'm happy with this product and like that it's saved me money and eliminated waste vs buying plastic water bottles. It's a smart and easy way to avoid potential illness when traveling.

I recently purchased a water bottle from Amazon and was excited to start using it for my daily hydration needs. However, upon receiving the product, I was disappointed to find that the cap was scratched. While this may seem like a small issue, it can actually lead to bigger problems over time. The scratches on the cap can cause the protective coating to wear off, leaving the metal underneath exposed. This can lead to rusting, which can be harmful to both the bottle and the user. Rust can compromise the integrity of the bottle and potentially contaminate the water inside. As someone who values sustainability and reducing waste, it's frustrating to have to replace a product due to a manufacturing defect. Not only does this result in additional waste, but it also means spending more money on a new bottle. Overall, I'm very disappointed in the quality of this product and would not recommend it to others. It's important for companies to ensure the quality of their products before sending them out to consumers, as even small defects can have big consequences. EDIT; After much trial and tribulation, they have reached out to me to send me a free replacement, but it had taken over one month to reach my address using UPS. Have it not taken one month I would have easily been happier.

Keeps liquid (l put water) cold for many hours. It disinfects automatically periodically. Great for travel especially in places you are not sure of the quality of the water you drink. It has a handle which makes it portable to carry. But beware, l once forgot another Hydro Flask at work. When l came back, somebody else must have picked it up. For anyone who travels frequently, this bottles helps provide a sense of cleanliness if unable to wash it everyday. Also helps make drink water sourced from public fountains, etc (think airports) feel a bit more clean. Bottle design is great and the carry handle makes it very easy to hold. Smaller size made sense for me as it encourages me to stand up and fill frequently but take size into consideration when ordering based on your personal preferences.

I am updating this review because the customer service was absolutely lovely. They saw this review and sent me a new bottle. They didn’t ask me to update my review. They think that I had a faulty unit. That said, I still find it hard to properly seat the charger on the lid! The original review is below. The good: I like the bottle material, and I love that the bottle portion is dishwasher safe. The bad: it’s nearly impossible to properly seat the plug for charging. My bottle cap started to behave erratically and finally died. It was never submerged in water; it just decided it didn’t want to work any longer. Now the bottle gathers dust.

Bottle is okay. Design is wierd. kind of heavy. Size is also a bit odd. The biggest pet pieve is that is it advertised as being able to lat for 30 days. First what does that mean hold one charge for 30 days. The water bottle last only 3 days one one charge.

Love the product.....BUT charging is very challenging. I have to move the cable to the right angle to get the charging going. A slight misalignment, charging is not working. Right now is not annoying me. But I'll give it a 3 star. Hopefully Philips can chance the charging port.

I got this bottle, charged it and started using it. Was very excited about it. Even though the UV works and initially you taste that "ozonated" water, if the water stays in the bottle for 2 days (i believe the bottle should auto ionize every 2 -4 hours), the smell inside the bottle becomes bad, the smell of bacteria growth. It is a good bottle but I would suggest to clean it inside at least every other day.

The UV cleaning seemed to work, which I like. But the mouth piece is so wide, that you have to drink very slowly and carefully. When you get to the bottom of the bottle and drink, it has spilled all over my front several times.

This bottle was delivered in no time. I guess it is working because the light on its cap is flashing in the way the manual describes. There are two things to bear in mind though: 1) it uses proprietary charging cable, meaning it will become an ordinary (nice looking) bottle if you lose the cable. They should have at least shipped a spare one or, like another brand I tried, to split the charging head from the cable so that users could change the cable when it breaks. Of course, using ordinary charging head such as USB C or at least mini USB will be way better. This is especially true that the cap isn't waterproof anyway. 2) except trusting the cap's light, you have no way to tell if the UVC light is actually on. All things considered, it is a good purchase for me in light of the relatively cheap price and famous branding compared to competitors in this market. With the R&D capability of Philips, I expect that they will release a smart / pro version of this, allowing you to check in on the actual LED status or even detect the water quality.

All in all, decent bottle. I am rougher-than-most with my water bottles, and this one can take more of a beating than I thought. The UV cleaning seems to do it’s job and I’ve seen no mold spores forming on the inside of this bottle. I do wish this bottle held more liquid however.
