The Philips Hue Smart TV Light strip has really elevated our gaming and theater experience! Combining this with our current SmartHue increases the experience of enjoying all levels of entertainment. The spectrum of different colors and how fluid/dynamic the product works is incredible! If you're looking to really elevate how you entertain, consider getting this light strip. • Must purchase 2 other items for WOW factor - do it!
Size: 75-Inch Style: TV LightStrip Only
The media could not be loaded. I can't believe how much I love this light bar. The instructions were very clear, but hooking it to the Philips Hue Sync Box, and Philips Hue bridge was a bit time-consuming and required some trial end error. You need those two products in order to get the bar to follow the on-screen light. Otherwise it will just be a light bar. I have an 85" TV and used the 75" strip and it still looks amazing. Sometimes the strip starts to fall because the adhesive isn't amazing but I just press it back on. You could easily get another adhesive strip. Once it's all plugged in and you have the app settings the way you like, it's 0 maintenance after that. It comes on when my TV is on and turns off with my TV as well. ... show more

  • What you probably don’t know…
Size: 65-Inch Style: TV LightStrip Only
The media could not be loaded. It does what you expect. On top of the Gradient Lightstrip for my TV, I also bought the play bars. You can isolate each light into individual colors. If you’re not new to the LED scene, then know you should be familiar with setting scenes with the app. When everything arrived, I immediately started setting up. The first problem I had was connecting the bridge to the internet. The first two lights came on but not the third. Without being connected to the internet, I can’t access the bridge with the app or move on with the rest of the installation. The solution to that, was that I plugged the network cable it came with from the bridge to the splitter I have. Come to find out, the bridge doesn’t work with splitters. Technically, the protocol doesn’t allow for it. You have to directly connect it to the router. I have a 70 inch Samsung Smart TV. I bought the 65” light strip. After setting up all the lights, the bridge, and the sync box, I was excited to play something colorful like Avatar or Spiderman(across the spiderverse). So, having smart tv and all I had to do was press the Netflix button on my remote and it brings me to the TV app(There’s a reason I say that) BUT, starting a movie, the lights just dimmed to the lowest white light and they were not synced to what was being shown on screen. The app kept showing me that nothing was connected to the sync box. I of course didn’t understand if I connect my tv to the box. After hours of research, I’ve done everything I could from getting different HDMI cables, to switching ends, to factory resetting the sync box, to seeing if my tv needed to be updated. I was afraid I bought a defective sync box. My last last thing to try was to call customer support. Surprisingly, after dialing the number, less than 5 minutes, I was on the phone with someone, which is impressive. Come to find out… to have lights sync, you can’t use it with TV Applications. You have to have a second source such as a PlayStation, Xbox, Firestick and so on. After learning that, I connected my PlayStation to the sync box, went to a YouTube video and it worked. So if you’re having this same issue, hopefully I was able to help someone out. Looking it up, I wasn’t the only one stumped with this same problem. All in all, after I got it to work, it’s amazing! The lights on top of a surround sound system, you don’t have to go to the movies anymore. You have an enhanced theater right in front of you. If you’re not watching TV, you can still work the lights with the app and either set a scene or choose whatever color(s) you prefer. It’s expensive for no reason. But you get what you pay for and that’s quality. You won’t be disappointed. P.S. The Bridge, Sync Box, and the Lights all use a big box plug. The blocky ones. So I had to utilize another power strip to get everything plugged in and working on top of everything I already had plugged. ... show more

  • Good, not great, especially for the price
Size: 65-Inch Style: TV LightStrip Only
A friend has one of the many "knock-off" brands of LED strips (I think he has GOVEE, but not sure) on the back of his tv, and it looks amazing. It's actually quite bright, and although it doesn't sync with what he's watching, there are a lot of different modes/patterns he can setup, and it looks awesome. I figured I'd step it up a notch and get this so it can sync with my new FireTV QLED Omni, which has an Xfinity media box and a PS5 attached to it. The lights do sync with both inputs, but they're nowhere near as bright as I thought they'd be. I realized immediately after setting them up that I was influenced by two things: one being my friend's bright setup, and the other being what I will call misleading advertising by Philips Hue. If you look at the product page, you'll notice they never show a simulation of just this light strip - the entertainment areas include a bunch of other Hue lights. I think that's because this light strip is nowhere near as bright as it should be for what it costs. Does it still look nice? Yes, it still looks cool. Does it enhance the experience? Yes. Should it cost what it does? Not a chance. I still gave it a four because, overall, it does exactly what it's expected to do...but it really shouldn't cost what it costs, given the (relatively) low brightness level. ... show more
