Bulbs seem fine, but my noted problem is that the 2016 civic has a more protruding plastic latch that screws it into the car frame; this (and basically every other replacement bulb I can find) do not have that latch.

I kept reading comments about how so many Ford Edge owners feel that the stock headlights are entirely too dim, and I agree... they DO suck! I can't figure out why Ford would put soft white/yellow headlights on a vehicle that also has bright white LED "signature lights"... the two clash about as bad as someone walking down the red carpet wearing cutoff jean shorts with a tux jacket... sporting a mullet!!! Yellow headlights are hideous and are so out of place in this day & age. A 2016 is no exception. SO, I bought these because of the plethora of Edge owners all across the internet that had recommended them, everyone parroting the same thing over and over and over again... how these bulbs are such a magnificent and HUGE improvement compared to the stock bulbs. Well, I fell for it. These are NOT AT ALL worth it! They aren't 100% brighter than the stock bulbs, they don't have more coverage, they don't have farther 'throw', and they weren't designed to be "whiter" than the stock soft-white bulbs either, they're just pricier and supposedly don't last as long. *(Notice the product description states, "UP TO 100% brighter". Which means there is NO guarantee that these are 100% brighter, it only means there is a wild chance they could be brighter... brighter than a completely blackened old used bulb perhaps). Why pay more for something that won't do much better-if at all-and will only last a fraction of the time the stock bulbs should last? I know, someone reading this is going to think I'm a heretic for saying such things, but honestly... I had 55k miles on my Edge with the stock original "LL" bulbs that came in it. I figured my bulbs were probably getting old enough to be replaced, figured I'd try these bulbs–hoping they'd be a lot brighter, but in the end all I did was waste some time and money because these bulbs weren't an improvement over the old bulbs in any noticeable way. I ended up re-installing the original stock LL bulbs, and will keep these tucked away until my stock bulbs inevitably burn out. Otherwise, they work, they do produce light as they are meant to, and they fit my Ford Edge exactly the same as stock. Would I ever buy them again? Nope. Would I ever recommend them to anyone? Nope.

Package arrived in two days. Package indicates that these bulbs were made in Germany and they are DOT approved. The bulbs are clear (no blue or yellow tint) with a small silver coating on the tip. I installed them in the stock projector housings of my 5th Gen 4Runner. Original bulbs still worked but I wanted additional distance and brightness. I chose these bulbs because the 4Runner's projector housing works best with the light source of a halogen filament. Projector housings require a very tight, focused light source from a specific spot in the center of the housing to get the most distance and clarity. LED elements (even in a properly-sized H11 LED bulb) are too thick for the housing to properly focus the light forward of the vehicle. An LED bulb would light my garage door brightly, but because LEDs lack the centrally focused light source required by projector housings, they won't project down the road as far as a halogen. Many 4Runner owners have installed HID lights with filaments that work for them, but I chose to avoid using ballasts or making modifications to the dust caps. The performance of these bulbs is a huge improvement in both distance and width of beam. I estimate that they light up the road 30% further, 20% wider, and 40% brighter over the original bulbs. The light is noticeably whiter than the original bulbs but still on the yellowish (softer) side of pure white (probably 3400K to 3500K). This color is a better wavelength for night vision (of driver and oncoming drivers) than bluish white and the color works well in foggy conditions. I often drive on dark, rural two-lane roads. With the added brightness and distance, I've found that I don't need to use high beams as often when running these bulbs. I've used similar bulbs on other vehicles in the past, and I know that the life of these bulbs is much shorter than the standard halogen. I expect no more than one or two years of life with these bulbs. Personally, the performance is worth the cost and time of replacing them. Installing the bulbs takes only a few minutes, and I did not need to adjust the headlights after installing these bulbs. I highly recommend wearing clean latex gloves when installing any bulb. Getting dirt or even grease from your fingers on any headlight bulb will decrease the life and performance of the bulb due to uneven heating of the glass.
