I have older nieces and nephews that are in their 40s and ever since they’re a child I will continue to drive and give them a Christmas present. That is something they can use. To me the best Christmas present is something you take home you install it and then remember every time you use it who gave it to you. I’ve given each of them one of these sets of Button extension cords. As you get older, you really don’t want to be wrestling around for light switches and turning some appliances on and off this, you simply put on the floor and stop it when you want to turn something on. Extremely convenient. I would would rather give them this than a knickknack. The price is reasonable it’s not like I’m spending a fortune and they will remember me. Also, I am visually impaired and I’m using Siri to write this and I apologize in advance for any strange words or phrases. Got this foot switch to operate two lamps on a TV Console. I like how the cord is on one side of the foot switch, unlike the ones you might see for the Christmas Trees or floor lamps with the foot switch. This thing worked GREAT! Every year I have to climb over the back of the sofa to plug and unplug the Christmas tree...I hate it! I didn't know products like this existed so when I stumbled on it I was excited. It arrived quickly and worked exactly as promised.
