We purchased this cooler to replace a similar NewAir cooler that failed after less than 4 years' service. We had never heard of Phiestina, but noticed that a lot of people seemed to like their coolers. So we took a chance. After a couple weeks using this cooler ... we're quite happy with both the product and the company. It arrived sooner than promised, but suffered some internal cosmetic damage that was likely the result of a packaging error. Enter Phiestina Customer Service: They were technically knowledgeable and very, very helpful resolving our issue. We are also pleased with the cooler itself. It has gotten our attention by being whisper quiet for a compressor unit and quite capable of cooling to precise temperatures quickly. We also note that the internal lighting is more subtle (and more useful) than the NewAir's bright light. Another plus for this cooler is the wire shelves. We like these because the NewAir's wood shelves absorbed wine spills and looked pretty ugly after awhile. Makes the inside of the cooler far more cleanable. All in all, we believe this cooler is far superior to our dead NewAir at similar cost. ... show more

This is a quiet, well-designed, and attractive addition to our new bar. We selected this unit because it was dual-zone with stainless steel shelves (most are wood). My chief complaint is that it is minimally adjustable up 34”, leaving a 1/2” gap under our standard 36 inch countertop (there are brands that adjust up to 34.5 inches). Also, it takes a long time to cool. I can’t attest to the unit’s longevity, as we just received it. My review is based on my initial experience described above. Update: I called Amazon 3 days after receiving it because both zones would not drop below 60 degrees F. I opted to have the unit replaced with a new one, as I like the unit. As always, Anazon was helpful. Have had the new unit now for one month. It cools quickly to the desired temperatures and is quiet. I’m happy for now and hope it lasts. ... show more

We had a trash compactor that we did not use. So we pulled it out and replaced it with this wine cooler. It fit perfect! All we had to do was put the handle on (which was super easy) and plug it in. It does hold 29 bottles! Overall it’s an awesome little fridge. A complaint I have is that, it will not get any cooler than 40° on the bottom and 50° on the top. Most refrigerators run about 37°. But, I guess if you’re a wine connoisseur, you appreciate the 50° because not all wine should be super cold. My other complaint is the “new” equipment smell inside of the fridge stinks. I hope it eventually goes away. But, not a deal breaker. ... show more

Wine cooler arrived on time and well packaged on a wood skid, heavy cardboard box with Styrofoam inside packing and plastic wrap and bags. Very sturdy and no damage. I let it sit upright for 24 hours to stabilize freon and compressor. It slid directly under counter as their measurements were accurate. Set top shelves for Chardonnay 54F and bottom shelves for "reds" at 60F. Temperature reached in several hours...accurate with a thermometer. Loaded with 12 bottles 3/shelf and 1 open shelf. I don't believe it can hold 29 bottles, although for us 12-20 will be fine. Unit is very attractive, the inside blue lighting is a great touch.....I'll report back in time as to its performance. ... show more

As many note, the bottle capacity of all these coolers is overstated. We have had this unit now for 4 months, it works fine, it is quiet (but in a quiet house, it can be noticed). Here is what I wished I had paid attention to: the top area is the cooler area but it is perhaps only 1/3 of the total. So, if you are more interested in chilling whites, this is not a great choice. We now set the top to 45 and the bottom to 50 (as low as it goes) and use this mostly for whites. A couple pricier reds down in the bottom. ... show more

We have had this wine cooler for about 2 months and couldn’t be happier! We used it to replace an old under the counter trash compactor from the 1980’s in a recent kitchen remodel. We knew we wanted one with a condenser vs an electric fan, because we had an electric one years ago and while it was far cheaper, that one was super loud. This one is whisper quiet (more quiet than our new refrigerator), and cools to the desired temperature very quickly. The only thing I’d point out is if you try to set the red wine zone above 62 degrees and the white zone below 40, it struggles to get the white zone low enough. We ran the red zone down to 60 and can now maintain 40 in the white zone easily. Very pleased with this unit, especially for the much lower cost than some of the other condenser units out there. It has exceeded our expectations and we could not ask for anything more! ... show more
