I just received this chair and I love it. I had to go back and watch some videos because for some reason my unit was stuck and would not open. I just wanted to make sure if I added pressure I would not break it. Once I added a lot of pressure it opened and has been closing and opening with no problem since. I am 6' 5'' and 250 pounds and I am amazed at how comfortable it is. I bought this because I have lower back pain and after only resting 10 minutes in this chair and standing up I could feel a major difference. Pain was at about 7 on a scale from 1 to 10 and went down to about 3 for about 30 minutes but now back to about 5. My lock feature does not work well on the left side but I don't care. The right side works and I am not sending this chair back. That is how much I like the chair. I recommend this chair even with the couple flaws on my unit. If I could give 10 stars I would do it. If you are looking for a chair of this type then you should buy this one. ... show more

I purchased this chair because I need to sleep in a recliner due to sinus issues. When traveling it is almost impossible to get a room with a recliner; consequently, I purchased this chair. The chair isn't a featherweight but although I'm a 75-year-old woman I can handle transporting the chair from the car to a cart and then into the room. Finding this chair has been a God send - at least now I can get a decent night's sleep. It is easy to operate and has afforded me comfort (I utilize a pillow to support my feet and do not use the headrest but rather a small pillow to support my head) when I travel. The cup rest tray is an added bonus. I know I'm not a minority when it comes to sleeping in a recliner and if you too find traveling difficult because of the lack of necessary sleeping accommodations - you should try this chair... ... show more

The first thing I noticed after taking it out of the box was that the back of the chair canvas was very very dirty. I feared that perhaps it had spent some time with the box open so that dust and dirt could plant itself on that side of the chair. The instructions were very poor in the sense that it did show how to unfold/fold and lock/unlock the chair, but failed completely in telling where the cup tray goes or how to put it on. It appears to me that it should have been put on during assembly but wasn't. Then I noticed that if it was put on, the chair would not properly fold up. So unless you plan on keeping it unfolded and on display, it is probably best not to have that tray at all. Interestingly, all of the pictures of this chair in the instruction booklet did not have the cup tray on the chair!! Was this tray perhaps an after-thought to sell the chair? I did get it open and I was able to lay back in it. The chair is actually comfortable, stiff but comfortable. It really needs a patio chase lounge pad for the best comfort. I also found that the foot rail does not close up enough while sitting to keep it out of the way of your feet. That makes getting in and out of it rather awkward. But in fairness, I think all patio chairs share that in common as it is the nature of the way the chair folds and supports weight. I don't think I would really recommend this chair simply because I believe there are better ones out there. Ones that better instructions for all its parts and padding for comfort. If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in it, this will work as a pool-side chair. If you're a sunbather and want to lay back frequently, I would look for something with better padding. ... show more
