These chairs are more investment than the typical outdoor furniture - designed to stand up to the elements, they are well made, extra thick (and sturdy) material, designed to make putting it together simple and easy with only one enclosed tool. Very comfortable to sit in and love the pub height as I am a very tall person and have back problems, so finding something that is comfortable to get into and out of without a great deal of effort was critical in our buying decision. They are not inexpensive but will likely outlast me - I cannot imagine anything taking them out, not wind, not rain, not overweight persons (designed to hold up to 450 lbs) - if they were maybe 2" wider I would say they were perfect but they do recess the inside of the handles on each side so that comes close enough for me. I highly recommend these - I spoke with the seller before ordering, very pleasant and answered all my concerns, shipped out the next morning and I had them in ONE day, via Fedex. Yes, they are about 60 lbs each, but that alone is why they are so sturdy and solid. Could not be happier with my purchase. We ordered the teal color, to offset our gray decking and it looks great on our lower deck.

The Phat Tommy Balcony Chairs arrived three days earlier than expected! Nice Surprise! The set arrives in two boxes which are fairly heavy. I was able to assemble the chairs, by myself, just using furniture to prop them up and clamps to hold pieces in place. The predrilled holes line up very well! I used my own bit because it was easier than using the tool provided. The instructions were straightforward and easy to complete. The set itself is awesome! It's heavy enough that I don't think it will move in high wind. It's also very comfortable seating. The tray is perfect for drinks or snacks. My previous balcony chair was lighter and I would have to bring it in eveytime the wind picked up. This set seems to be weighted sufficiently to withstand the wind and feels very durable. It's also poly resin so its easy to clean. The price is a bit steep... But it seems like it seems worth it for the comfort, durability and stability.

Arrived 4 days earlier than expected. Excellent quality, sturdy, easy to assemble, comfortable and beautiful! I bought these for my front yard deck. These are the cranberry color and I love them so much I'm going to buy another set for my back patio. I think they are worth the money and we will enjoy them for years to come.

Because the main deck of our lakeview home is elevated, we get alot of wind off the lake that blows around any lightweight furniture. So this is our first investment in poly resin pieces and we are so pleased. We purchased two of the balcony chair settee sets. They arrived in four strong and well packed boxes. Two boxes contained the triangle tray and a single chair. The other two boxes contained on a single chair. All of the hardware was perfectly identified and extras were sent for each size. I put together one whole settee by myself in about one hour with the help of the sofa to hold pieces vertically! My husband was available for the second set which cut the time in half. They are heavy and you will be better assisted to have extra hands. Adding the middle tray definitely took two people, but it fits perfectly and is larger than expected. We love them! Even on a chilly morning, they call the hubby to come for coffee and a morning read. The family will be here in July, so they will get a good workout then. We have added the balcony table and chairs to the cart. So we expect the same great quality. Thanks, Phat Tommy, for decently priced quality deck furniture!

I have been shopping for this type of chair for a while and I have have to say that these are so comfortable, easy to assemble, arrived early and are less expensive than competitors. I highly recommend them. I am looking to buy another set. I thought I would give a 4 yr update! These chairs are still the Best outdoor chairs that I have. We did end up buying another set and in a different color and both sets are the most sat in chairs we have. The color has not faded on either set and they are just as sturdy as the day we put them together. They are also easy to clean, but are so low maintenance that washing them off with the hose is usually all it takes. I still highly recommend them.

A slight hiccup when I ordered it, only one box came at first. When I contacted the company someone checked (on a Sunday) and determined that the second box was on the way, thank you. Parts came properly and securely pack. First chair took me 40 minutes to assemble, second about 20. Read the instructions and lay out the hardware before you start, the screws are close in length. I would disagree with the assembly instructions. I connected the back of seat loosely to the rear of the side pieces, one bolt on each side. This made it easier to hold the pieces in place while installing the foot piece. All pre-drilled bolt holes are precisely lined up, no forcing involved. The instructions do not say whether or not to use an electric screwdriver, I did not because I worried about stripping the the material. Table top just slides in, sturdy, but easy to remove if need be. End products look and feel comfortable. I'm a big guy but it would take be some work to tip over while sitting in the chair. Highly recommend.
