  • Not bad, but need improvement
Size: 2x400mm
Picked these up as they seemed like the best option for adding RGB that has nice level of diffusion. The strips are kind of a pain in the ass to install, as others have said, the sticky parts aren't that sticky and there are few spots in a case that are perfectly flat to accommodate the squares. The lengths are alright in my Lian-li 011D and older Phantek Enthoo Evolv. I do suggest you measure first to know which of the 3 lengths to god with. The main issue is the quality. While they look great initially, after a year or so, they start failing. The blue light in all 3 of my strips has partially failed. My RGB is usually set to a synthwave pink/purple/blue rainbow in the ASUS Crate app. All the RGBs, mobo, ram, EKWB pump and waterblock would all sync great with these. Roughly year and a half later, they won't display blue unless i force the color to 0/0/255. Trying to force white (255/255/255) you get a yellow color instead of white or even a blue-ish white. Not sure where the failure is at. Will hit up Phantek since the warranty is 2 years and see about solutions. If there is a resolution, I'll update. ... show more

  • Decent light strip, but be weary
Size: 1M
This is a pretty decent lighting solution. I wanted the diffused look and this strip does it very well. However, the strip itself is quite thick and doesn't like to bend, so be careful when thinking about how you're going to mount it. If I were to buy again, I'd likely go with the 400x2 rather than the 1000x1 to open up more mounting possibilities. ... show more

  • Great Color and Color dissipation
Size: 2x400mm
Great color and they are also very bright, id plan on getting more but they are a bit too thick and wont fit in the spot i want them to go so im just gonna get two rgb ssd to brighten up the bottom of the case.

  • Good lights, but lacking in a few areas.
Size: 2x400mm
Overall these lights are quite good. Much brighter than I was expecting from other reviews, although definitely not as bright as regular LED strips. All of the colors are nice and vibrant except for purple, its very dull and feels more blue. Would like to get more corner brackets in the package as theres only 2 for 2 long strips, made it a bit difficult to do what I wanted with the lights, but ended up working out in the end. Adhesion is good for the mounting brackets as long as you don't use any straight brackets too close to a curve or angle of any sort - another reason more corners would be nice. ... show more

  • Great for one installation, may not survive reconfiguration
Size: 2x400mm
The good: Ultra smooth color transition between LEDs. If you look very, very close, you can see where the individual LEDs are, but only when there are different colors being shown. If the lights are animated, the gap between LEDs is almost completely imperceptible. These daisy chain extremely easily, with a male connector on one end and a female connector on the other. LED count increments correctly, meaning your animations will continue on the next strip if you set them up that way. There are 28 LEDs per strip in the 400mm length variety. The bad: The connectors: Ugh. I hate these connectors. There are two types used in aRGB (digital) strips. The locking type like this and the flat pack type that's 4 pins wide but has one socket plugged or one pin missing, depending on if it's male or female. This setup literally requires both. The strips themselves use the locking type that doesn't plug directly into the LED controller. The pigtails they included are about 40cm long so if you don't need much, you're either going to have to do some serious cord hiding, search desperately for a motherboard to 3-pin JST-SM connector pigtail that's shorter, or solder your own. That's why I hate them. I suppose the good news is that manufacturers have at least narrowed it down to two connector types. The ugly: These are flexible, but still susceptible to wire fatigue on the internal flexible circuit board. They're essentially flex ribbon cable inside of silicone, and hard bends will kink the copper inside, and when these are bent and unbent a few times, they break, cutting the path to the rest of the strip. If you're having issues with some LEDS working at the near end but not at the far end, despite your strips being configured for 38 LEDs, this could be the problem. I moved mine from my old case to my new one, with different bends, and the ensuing manhandling wore them out. If you hear crinkling noises inside when they flex, they're starting to break down. Overall: Decent product, but those JST-SM connectors and the wear and tear reliability issue costs them one star from me. ... show more
