    • Took 8 hours to charge with AC wall charger

I knew that I was taking a chance when I bought the PGYOB 400W Portable Power Station because all the reviews for this product were for a garden flag. But I took the risk, tested it out and will be returning it. Here's why. The description says that it charges in 3-5 hours, but this isn't true. Out of the box, the battery had zero bars. I put it on the AC wall charger that they supply and it took 8 hours to charge up to 5 bars. Then as a test, I had it run my AC electric blanket on the lowest setting. Starting with a full battery (5 bars), it ran the electric blanket for 5 hours before it got down to 2 bars. I thought that this was good. But then, to charge the battery back up from 2 bars to 5 bars, it has now been on the AC charger for 6 hours, and it's still not fully charged. This is just too long and I will be returning it. Things that I like about it: It's lightweight at only about 7 pounds and it's quiet. I couldn't hear it run at all. ... show more

I bought this portable generator with the glee of a squirrel discovering a mountain of acorns. Charged it up, ready to power my life like a tiny, gas-guzzling Zeus. An hour later, it conked out faster than a politician's promise. So, I figured, why not plug my laptop in? Maybe it just craved the sophisticated hum of spreadsheets and cat videos. Nope. Dead as a disco in daylight. 179 bucks, folks. 179 bucks for a glorified paperweight with delusions of grandeur. I'm talking refund-worthy, tear-inducing disappointment.
