  • BEST RESULTS- To get the best out of your Peugeot salt grinding mechanism, you should use: dry rock salt, with a max. diameter of 4 mm (0.16"). Not recommended for sea salt.
  • Warranty -Lifetime on the mechanism, 5 years on the body of the mill. Wipe clean with a soft cloth.

    • Good range from fine to coarse, cap tends to come loose

All mills of this type have the flaw that the brass nut on the top that holds the round cap in place tends to come loose. The coarseness dial at the bottom is continuous and tends to move around a bit too. It's also hard to see what the actual setting is because the marking on the main body is a faint little dot. But these are small flaws that are offset by the build quality. I would buy this again but won't have to since it's going to last forever. ... show more

Works great! The adjustment for the grind is a nice feature. Initially I thought it was pre-owned as there were a few grams of salt/pepper already in it but upon reading the fine print they include a few grams in the salt mill upon purchase so that set me at ease.

The mill has performed flawlessly so far. You can choose the size by easily turning the bottom. Yes you may have to play around with screw on top but that is the part of old world charm. The base is very delicate - if you drop it, it will probably crack. In fact Amazon shipped it the mill with other items and the base did crack. MAKE SURE TO ORDER THIS SEPERATELY from other items. The mill is a bit difficult to load, I use a measuring cup that has a spout to make it a lot easier. ... show more
