I purchased this because I've been looking for a good day/date style with a smaller price tag. This fully fits the bill. This watch looks way more expensive than it is. It's super simple to use. One thing that may annoy people but doesn't bother me is that you'll have to adjust it manually when a month isn't 31 days or then day will get off- but otherwise, keeps perfect time and is SO convenient. I bought this mostly for work, but now I find that I love wearing it outside of work as my daily jewelry. The funniest thing is that I can't tell you how many people compliment me on this watch- and on top of that (to my utter disbelief), how many of them have mistaken it for something way more expensive. This is a nice timepiece; it has everything "I" want in a watch. It's got the roman numerals, day of the week, actually spelled out; the date with the magnifier. Everything I want in a timepiece. The only thing I dont like about the watch is that it is not water resistant. Every time I gotta miss around with water, I have to take it off. But oh well?! I love the thing. After almost two years: Wow just realized I never updated this review. While the watch was truly pretty nice, after maybe 6 MAYBE 7 months the band of the watch literally broke off. I tried repeatedly to email, call, and in any way contact the seller to return the product for a new one (I genuinely loved this watch) but literally got hung up on and no replies. Shady business is never good business. Now I've had watches I've worn everyday for over a year that haven't broke; but this one just ain't one of those. I recommend Akribos If you're looking for a Rolex looking watch. Again just really disappointed that the watch broke so soon ( it wasn't too expensive so I wasn't expecting royalty or anything lol) on me. Original review: Okay so to begin I bought this watch almost 3 months ago. It's truly awesome, and I personally love it. Personally I love the Rolex looking links, and the gold is immaculate lol. I wear the watch almost daily. The clasp is okay at the most, it is not a button release, but just a force open release I suppose. But my one complaint is the clasp WILL NOT close good when wet, and will unclasp very easily. But I really love the watch, and overal in my opinion a great buy! ... show more

I really like the great looking replica design with the day display arching across the top. But, Michael Zweig used to make essentially the same thing for $20 which made it basically a disposable. This is now the cheapest gold plated version I could find. I don't expect the gold plating to hold up on this one any longer than that one did which was about 6 months, but we'll see. If it does last longer it'll be worth it. If that's a concern, get the stainless steel one. Came set up at its largest fit which wouldn't have worked any smaller on my relatively small wrist. I prefer the double squeeze over the pull release, but no big deal. It doesn't come with any expansion links. Holds up fine in the shower where I wear it to keep it clean. If you prefer, I'm sure you could submerge it in jewelry cleaner, though soap and water is probably easier on the plating. Like all quartz replicas, the second hand moves in second steps instead of sweeping, just sayin'. Update--The battery died almost to the day 2 years after my last review. After I figured out how to get into it to replace it (It's tiny and the back is harder to put back on than to take off, which is not easy), I decided to save the old one for parts and get a new one. The gold finish was just beginning to show wear on the down side of the bracelet, which is much better than the old Zweig I had. I wear it everywhere except in the gym, even yard work and in the shower. The crystal is amazing, no scratches, but on the down side, smudges can only be removed completely with jewelry cleaner--into which I regularly put mine to get the crevices clean and shiny. It's sized rather small. I have a relatively medium wrist and it fits just right, but it doesn't come with extra links if you need them. The back is not gold plated, but all of the bracelet is on both of mine, though It's not pictured that way??? So I guess expect either one. ... show more

I am a senior citizen and been a collector of over 100 watches at least over my lifetime, from Rolex to Timex, why there are some bad reviews is beyond me but everyone has their own view.
