    • Mediocre quality for a Peugeot grinder.

The paint feels cheap especially for the salt mill. The pepper mill works great. However the salt mill works well but has some learning curve. Its also quite tricky to grind since the head of the grinder is quite thin so if you have chunky fingers this might not be good for you. Overall I am underwhelmed with the quality its not at par with my bigger peugeot pepper grinder. For those having issues with the salt mill make sure to use coarse salt, I use himalayan salt. Also to avoid leaking when filling the salt make sure to push the grinding mechanism up with your finger or stick a paper towel inside, dont let go until you finally screwed the knob. Also note that once you set it to coarse grind you will probably have a hard time going back to fine grind since there are already chunks of salt between the mechanism. You can easily fix this by turning the grinder upside down then picking the chunks of salt when its free of debris you have to tighten the knob while its still upside down. ... show more

Very leaky dropping salt/pepper after use. Does not function as indicated to decrease/increase size. Wanted these for the perfect compact size and Peugeot-quality milling of both pepper and chunky sea salt. The salt mill is a huge disappointment. The salt falls out of it, and it doesn't hold tight for a find grind position. Don't know if I'd returned it another set might have worked better. I always had a good experience with Peugeot but this time not so...the salt mill sticks and gets jammed, so you have to empty and tighten then refill and in a week or so it will jam again! I have two other sets that have never had a problem like this...I like the color though. I am using the salt that came in the grinder. Maybe the next brand will be better. ... show more
