    • Great harness for kids and ziplines

We purchased the Petzl Simba Harness and a Black Diamond kids regular climbing harness and ended up using the Simba and sending the Black Diamond back because it fit to tightly on our 5 year old. We have a 220' zipline that comes out of his treehouse so it is pretty high off the ground and with this we don't have any worries about him falling off of a seat or letting a handlebar go. He quickly climbs in and out of the harness and says that it is comfortable. We have used it with his friends that have come over and it is really quick to adjust to other sizes. We initially put him in it and I lifted him up with the carabiner and lifting strap so he knew how it would feel and he was immediately ok with it. These worked great for a backyard zip line that we installed at our creek a few weeks ago. We purchased two of them so we could keep the riders moving on a 100' line. The boys ages were 4-6 years old with a wide range of heights and weights. They adjusted easy and only took a few tries to get them adjusted where it did not cut into the boys either in the crotch area or around the arms. Works great for our home climbing wall. I also used it last weekend on a dangerous hike with my son where I wanted to keep him on a leash as we were walking along 200 foot cliffs. He loves it and has had no complaints about it not being comfortable. I love how the full body harness keeps the kids upright when they fall off the climbing wall. Even if a child is big enough for a regular harness I would start them with a full body so they don't get scared by falling off and hanging upside down. ... show more

Awesome kids harness. My daughter is 4 and loves wearing it. I'm willing to bet my daughter has smaller legs than your child's - she is tiny but it fully adjusts to her leg size. She has a blast climbing and keeps her upright without ever worrying about her flipping up side down.
