The brushless motor delivers excellent power and runtime, and the tool cuts cleanly through drywall with incredible precision. The ergonomic design makes it comfortable to use for extended periods, and the variable speed trigger gives great control when making detailed cuts around outlets, lights, and fixtures. I also really appreciate the depth adjustment ring, which helps prevent overcutting and protects wiring behind the wall. This is the tool-only version, so keep in mind you’ll need a compatible 20V battery, but if you’re already in the DeWalt ecosystem, it’s a perfect addition. It’s lightweight, well-balanced, and built with the solid quality you expect from DeWalt. Overall, this tool has saved me a ton of time and effort compared to manual cutting. Dewalt does it again. Flawless execution in all aspects of the tool. Easy to change the bit, cuts through 3/8,1/2,5/8 like a hot knife through butter. It was a little bit of a learning curve to get precise cuts and a bit cumbersome at first most likely because I’m old school and set in my ways cutting with a blade but after only a couple hours I was a convert and will never use a utility knife again for outlets and doors. 10 out of 10 recommended 👍 ... show more
