One of the funniest comedies ever made. Thank you. Mel Brooks once said it could not be made today (2025) because it’s “politically incorrect”. Hard to believe it’s now over 50 years old. What will people think of it in another 50 year?

This is definitely a PERIOD PIECE, in that I'm not sure this kind of film could be made TODAY... it violates a LOT of social norms and prejudices and politically-correct ideals... but it violated them back then, too. That, tho, was the time we were still reeling from the Richard Nixon government melt-down, so a few things were able to slide under the door meanwhile... before the censors were able to keep it from coming out! All in all, it's DEFINITELY a statement of the 1970s and a lot of unrest in the country at that time, much of which has only gotten worse today. So it's nice to be able to just sit back and have a giggle and a guffaw and take our minds off it a while... Good film, if only for SHOCK VALUE for young people to see today, who weren't around back then!

Blazing Saddles is a classic, I dont think they would be able to make it today. So glad I bought this movie, watched it that night and looking forward to watching it again very soon.

I really can't get tired of rewatching this movie, I saw it when it came out. The sad thing is that in this day and age this type of humor is offensive to some snowflakes and would encounter a lot of criticism and outrage! LOL get over it folks, Mel Brooks is an equal opportunity offender not leaving anyone out! LOVE IT!

Blazing Saddles is a western comedy classic that still holds up today! The film's outrageous humor, witty one-liners, and slapstick comedy had me laughing out loud from start to finish. The cast, including Cleavon Little, Gene Wilder, and Madeline Kahn, deliver hilarious performances that add to the film's zany charm. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that some of the humor and jokes feel a bit dated and may not appeal to everyone. However, the film's irreverent spirit, clever writing, and memorable characters make it a must-see for fans of comedy and westerns. Overall, I highly recommend Blazing Saddles for its entertainment value and comedic genius!

Classic funny stuff at a time when you could break norms and not get in too much trouble, like today. I should also mention picture/sound were really good for a movie this old. You also get some extra goodies which are also nice, but if you don't need/want that stuff just get the 4k. You won't be disappointed.
