My seven-month-old lab mix adores her King Kong chewy-chew. I have not noticed any smell with the brown variant, as other reviewers have. It's highly durable and addictive. My dog will go at this thing for an hour and has not tired of it after several weeks. Well worth it!

Let's get one thing clear before all else; we have a yellow lab who has severe anxiety. Our yellow lab has eaten every toy we have bought for him in the short year and a half we have had him. I was at my wits end as he started grabbing anything he could get ahold of and annihilating it and eating it. Thousands of dollars of vet bills. So I bought the Monkey (this is a gorilla. His name is Monkey.) Our dog loves Monkey and Monkey has lived through five minutes, five days, five weeks, and will probably continue to live. This toy is suitable for extremely heavy and strong chewers. My dog is also XL, so this toy is suitable for XL heavy and strong chewers as well. My husky puppy goes through dog toys at an insane rate, this one is holding up pretty well. I would give this maybe 1 month at the current rate of my aggressive chewer. The smell is pretty gross and makes her breath smell bad, but she is obsessed with the flavor. It was a little smaller than I thought it would be. My dog is 50lb husky puppy and it’s a good size for her. If your dog is bigger than that then this toy may be a bit too small for them. ... show more

I almost sent this back when I opened it. It’s rock hard. I thought there was no way my dogs would chew on this. Fast forward… my teething puppy LOVES this! She works on it for hours. Now that the beef flavor is exposed my adult dog (who destroys EVERYTHING) has also been caught chewing on it! They both love it and so far there is just a little wear on the arm, otherwise completely intact! No little pieces all over the house or concerns for choking on anything. Love this! ... show more

These nyla-bone type chew toys are the only type that can last a couple of months with my HEAVY chewing Pit. These last three months or so, and they ARE SOOOOOOO worth buying since they keep her from chewing up anything in my house. We keep four or five different flavors and types of them laying all over to keep her attention and it has worked for her first year so far !!!!!!
