great product and value. i took a chance on a cyber deal- was under $30, but wasn't expecting too much. This portable shelter is great- lightweight, easy assembly and seems well insulated for what it is. Mine came with a clear plastic door that velcros in. Has an additional floor panel that offers some insulation. Entire unit appears waterproof and easy to clean. This is exactly what I wanted! Using as an overnight 'rest stop' for local felines to keep warm while they eat. Exceeded expectations . As for sizing, this is for the large, and it seems at least adequate as a shelter for 2 medium cats if they get along, but would be comfortable for single big Tom or overfed house kitty.

Got this little house for my outdoor cat, Milo, and heβs basically claimed it as his new kingdom π. It was super easy to set up β just a few minutes and done. Itβs sturdy, keeps out the rain, and stays nice and cozy inside. I put his cat bed in, and now Milo naps in there like he owns the place (which, honestly, he does). The clear flap is great too, but we don't use it really. Totally worth it if your cat spends time outside. Milo gives it two paws up! π±π

I bought this for the feral kitty that lives on my street. I put in a secure location under a tree, inside an old dog crate to keep it from blowing away in the winter. So far it's been great for the cat who sleeps in it almost nightly. I feel better knowing she's got a place to curl up out of the elements. (I also leave out a bit of food). It is lightweight, so if you can weigh it down or secure it to something solid that would be ideal. It's easy to put together. Over all it's worth the money.

Last year I ordered several of the large cat houses for my cat community. These are NOT good cat houses to keep you cats warm and dry for outside uncovered areas. The rain saturates the houses from top to bottom. The inside is completely saturated with water and wet all throughout. So they are not a good solution for feral cats or pets who live outside to keep them warm and dry during the winter or during rain showers or storms. The kitties love the large cat houses when the houses are dry. The cat houses ARE a good solution to keep the feral kitties warm during winter months if the cat house is COVERED WHERE THE RAIN CANNOT REACH IT. I also have the medium cat houses, and they are placed under a roof. The cats do not seem to like the medium cat houses as much as they like the large cat houses. The LARGE cat houses are perfect for the outside kitties if the house can be placed under a shelter where they can stay dry. Hope this helps.

I purchased 2 of these in 2024 - the Shabby Chic ( Jan 2024) and the Black (Nov. 2024) - for the outdoor feral cats that visit my backyard. The most positive thing I can say about them is that the cats seem to like them and have used them. Now for the negatives (in no particular order): *It's not sturdy. Unless you use the tethering loop on the side to tie it down to something, or put something inside the house to weigh it down (I've been using an aluminum can of pumpkin puree), it will blow around in the wind. *The rain will get in through the door, especially if you put in something like a self-heating mat (which you should, because the mat that comes with it is neither soft nor warm); the door flap gets stuck half open on the mat. *The weather will do wear and tear on them fairly quickly. With both of mine, the seams have split open on the roof front and the part under the door, exposing the foam underneath. I've put some bobby pins on them to hold them together. Also, one season of the summer sun has made the black one turn more of a brown. *The zipper is hard to maneuver. It was a bit difficult to zip the roof on when first assembled. At this point, I've stopped using the first one I bought because the house itself has worn down so badly so I brought it inside and tried to dismantle it but the zipper is stuck. I recently bought a sturdier and roomier cat house and the most frequent feral was using it but, for some reason, she's now been spending more time in this black one. I don't know why since this one is more vulnerable to the weather; maybe it's because the wider door opening makes it easier for her to bolt out if need be. I'm actually trying to decide whether I should bite the bullet and buy another one, despite its poor quality, so I can replace the worn down one, since a couple of the cats seem to like them regardless. 1/17/26 - Edited to add: So I did end up "biting the bullet" and purchasing another one in November 2025, a year after the previous one. Well, apparently a year made a big difference manufacturing-wise. The newer version doesn't have any stability at all. The foam that was inside the previous ones that helped support the house is gone. It's literally just thin fabric sewn together now, with nothing in between. Nothing whatsoever to hold it up or keep it from collapsing. Needless to say, I sent it back. I amended my 2-star rating to 1-star.
