Definitely accurate. Small tray does NOT work for cat weighing 5-6 Lbs, too unsteady. I used the basket in photo, then had a VERY difficult time seeing weight displayed. I have a similar scale that only goes up to 5 Lbs - but has a mechanism to pull out the display for ease in reading. I will probably give this to a kitten rescue OR use for food scale. Will now have to buy another one with a MUCH bigger tray. Also, directions say to remove round covers from top of scales (this makes tray adhere to scale) NOT practical for use in animals to keep clean in my opinion. Disappointed bc I have a VERY sick adult cat who needs to be weighed frequently but is > 5 Lbs. I do NOT think an animal > 10-12 pounds would fit on this scales set up

Scale worked ok at first, but we have noticed many inconsistent readings recently. Have to pick up items and sit back down to re-weigh and never get the same numbers twice. Very frustrating!

It might show a kitten happily laying on it in the picture, but that is hardly accurate. My cat refuses to get on it at all, and the puppies I got it for are soooo wiggily that it is hard to keep them on it long enough to get an accurate reading.... Once I get them to lay down, they also take up the whole top part with no room left over. It feels too small.

It worked perfectly at first, then was giving me wrong readings, so had to have it replaced. It's a really nice little scale. Tiny puppies fit so nicely on the little platform. It turns on so quickly. I love it.
