This Pesita brand security camera is a pretty good security camera, especially for this price point. it takes either 720P (SD) or 1080P (HD) video. You can choose between 10, 15 or 20 sec. videos, or "Auto" which will record as long as motion is detected, up to 3 minutes. It has a 124⁰ wide angle lens, so it will cover a wide area. Night vision can be either "Infrared mode", a Black & White image or "White light mode" or a Color image at night. The white light mode shines a spotlight, so this mode will use more battery power. Motion detection alerts come to your smartphone as a notification in the Vicohome App. You can set the sensitivity of motion detection to either low, medium, or high. At first we were getting way too many false alarms. Too many alerts makes you not want to review each one, since the likelihood of a false alarm is so high. Just the leaves moving from the wind gave us a notification. We turned the sensitivity down to medium, then to low. The camera works OK but seems to give a lot of false alarms, more than other security cameras we have. A flashing light can turn on when motion is detected, or you can choose an audible alarm - choose both or none and go with a notification only. There's a microphone and speaker on the camera, so you could talk to someone at the camera and listen to them if you want. The camera is easy to install and the Vicohome app and camera function correctly. Recording is either Cloud storage (a rolling 7 days for free or longer history if you pay a fee) or on an SD card up to 128 GB (not included). The battery is 5200 mAh and charges with a USB micro cable. It's a wireless 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi camera (5 GHz Wi-Fi is not supported). NO wires are required for either video signal or power, which greatly enhances where you want to place the camera. The only limitation will be the extent of your Wi-Fi network. We put a camera far away from the house and needed an Extended Access Point (EAP) to extend the Wi-Fi signal. it works great now. it's IP65 (Ingress Protection) waterproof, so placing it outdoors is not a problem. Vicohome sells an "Awareness plan" that allows you extra flexibility for the camera as follows: 1- You can choose to only film people, pets, vehicles or packages. 2- You can set it so that you only get a notification for activity in a predefined area in the camera picture. These are nice features, but the security camera still works fine without it. The App is easy to operate and works well. i will definitely give it 5 stars. i hope this review is helpful. Setting up this camera was frustrating because there's NO instructions. But I noticed the QR code on the camera and tried scanning it with my phone but it went to a "no results found" message on the browser (which means the code is not registered to a website). So I asked the seller how and they sent a video basically saying to go get the app and install from there. That worked. The App is called VicoHome. The wifi connection is really good as we have the camera about 80 feet from the house in the back yard and the wifi is upstairs in the back of the house. The battery has lasted a week now and it still shows full! Picture quality is 8.5/10 and the night vision is a bit short for distance. The notifications work ok, but the recording always starts late so when I walk by the camera from 25 feet away it only catches me when I'm half way past. The free trial cloud service is still working for keeping the "Library" of recorded video over a week later, not sure when that will expire but I don't plan on subscribing, I'll use an SD card instead (which is NOT included with the camera!!) ... show more

Love this camera! The price point is great, it has HD video, night vision, motion detection, just had a strong storm last night and it held up just fine. It's been outside for 3 days now and the battery is still at close to full. Install is 3 screws to the base and that's it, truly is a wireless unit. The app works great and is easy to navigate.we plan on buying more in the future! ... show more

First of all when this camera did charge in the beginning the battery would barely last for a month. It's been 2.5 months since I had purchased this camera and battery is DEAD. Can't recharge -- making this camera useless.
