I live in relatively safe neighborhood that always has a lot of cars going by the main street, but over the last couple of years, there have been a lot more incidents occurring. I hear sirens and see police cars far more often then I used to. I walk my dog several times a day, and although I feel safe (lots of dogs in the neighborhood) the area seems to slowly be getting worse and worse with homeless and crime. I don't like to carry my phone on me on walks, so I wanted a small personal alarm I could keep attached to my dog leash. And this item is perfect! It's light-weight but don't let that fool you! Between the sound (140db) and flashing led lights, this little guy packs a punch that will definitely scare off someone AND get the attention of others! The top portion comes out of the main body to activate and you do have to give it some pull to separate but I think this is a good thing. It's hard enough so I won't accidentally pull it (especially being on my dog's leash), but easiest enough that my 70+ year old mom can easily activate it. The top portion slides back in to the body to stop the alarm and lights. Very happy with my purchase! And love the color!!

I think this is one of the must have devices in today's times where unfortunately you need to carry deterrents for personal safety especially if you are woman. My wife always carries it conveniently attached to her purse or dress and do not go without it anywhere. Fortunately we do not have to use it so far anywhere and I hope it stays that way but we did give it a try to see how it works. It is easy to trigger by pulling the pin and it is super loud with lights flashing, so definitely it will be good deterrent if the need be.

I just purchased because I have been more conscious of safety, specifically as a women. This is a GREAT way to feel safe while walking to car or being out at night. This alarm is loud and an effective way to startle someone that is a potential danger. I love how small it is and can easily be put on my purse or holding in my hand when I go for late night walks. Makes me feel safe. It is soooooooo loud!!!!! For sure it would make a scene with the flashing lights as well. Here goes to hopefully never using it.

The Keychain this alarm comes on is awesome, it's heavy duty and screws together so I have literally no worries that I'll randomly lose it or anything. I knew the alarm would be loud but I wasn't expecting it to be THAT loud, which is a huge plus. I gave the second one to one of my single female friends that just moved to a sketchy part of town and she also loves it. She's no longer scared walking home late at night since this will definitely deter anyone trying something.

This is an excellent product for the price. The alarm is pretty loud and the led light is very bright in the dark. Every time I go to test it, my wife gets mad because it hurts her ears. It is easy to pull pin out. It would be good to put it somewhere close by like attaching it to the outside of a purse or backpack or even a belt loop on your pants. I believe the product is worth buying.

The alarm produces laud enough,car like, sound once the top is taken off and the sound stops once the top is placed back to its place. The top can be conveniently taken off just by yanking the alarm off of the key chain. To place it back , you'd have to align it correctly. It's of a convenient size and comes with the key chain. For the price you get two personal alarms and two key chains. I am very pleased with this purchase.

This personal alarm is super handy and helps me feel safe when I'm walking alone at night. I live in Arizona, so in the summer months I can only walk my dog late at night, when the temperature drops. It fits nicely on my fanny pack and is very easy to use if needed. Also, the box comes with 2 of them, so you can share with your significant other or give to a friend :)

Pretty loud little thing. I bought these for my nieces that are attending college and living on campus. It has well made ring that you can use to attach it to back pack. They reported to me that they tested it out and find it very easy to reach for it and just press that button for immediate attention.
