Overall it's pretty decent for the price. Definitely convenient, but my typical protein shake (2 scoops powder, half banana, few frozen strawberries, 4-5 ice cubes and 10oz almond milk) caused the blender to bind up. Had to hold it upside down for a few seconds to get it going again, which it did. Didn't chop the ice cubes totally, instead leaving them in chunks a few centimeters big. It did mix the frozen strawberries ok. Cleaning was easy. Few things I don't like: -The strap attached to the lid is useless. I think the manufacturer intends someone to clip this entire thing to their belt and walk around with it. That is ridiculous as it's way too heavy fully assembled. If it included a 2nd lid that would fit the bottom, then maybe that could work. Otherwise any liquid in the cup will just spill out anytime the strap is used. -The cup has a little black magnet glued into it which is used as a safety feature. When you tighten the cup onto the base, the magnet aligns with a certain spot in the base allowing the mixer to operate. If you don't have it aligned perfectly, it won't turn on. I can definitely see that little magnet falling out at some point, probably into the drink or someone's mouth. Plus it's on the end of the cup you drink out of, unless you drink with the cup still attached to the base, which more and more I am thinking that's how it was intended. Don't like that. -My biggest complaint is the lid, because is not flat. It is convex so you cant really set the cup portion down. So unless you're going to slam your entire shake at once or take the entire mixer with you, you'll either have to hold it the entire time or transfer it to another container. The lid thing is dumb, should definitely be flat and have a 2nd lid for the other side. ... show more

I purchased this blender primarily for preparing smoothies. It handled blending a basic banana berry smoothie without any issues. But it couldn't blend the ginger pieces when I added them in the smoothie. The blender's motor power is modest and it might struggle with tougher ingredients . The 15oz capacity is sufficient for a single serving of shakes or smoothies. Additionally, the ability to charge via USB-C, which adds more convenience. ... show more

it’s a nice mini blender, very cute and does the job. but it shows the red battery light after one use, so does that mean it’s dying or something else? it seems like it still runs even when that red light is on, so maybe it’s just warning you that it’s almost dead? i feel like the original BLENDJET is probably better and worth spending a bit more on ... show more

This little gadget is perfect in every way. I was a little apprehensive about t after reading reviews giving it bad marks for not holding a charge but those reviews were false. I use this blender every single day and I charge it maybe once every week. I only use very soft bananas or avocado in it along with my protein/greens powders. I don't put ice in the blender. Im pleasantly surprised! This reasonably priced on-the-go gadget can blend up a soft shake really well! Ive only blended powders, milk, avocado, bananas (unfrozen) and frozen blueberries~ haven't tried ice tray ice or bigger frozen fruit chunks yet, Im scared to test it too hard, but i'll keep experimenting over time to see what it can and cannot handle. It's pleasing aesthetically, streamlined and slim and holds two servings. I put my powders in first, then milk then avocado and/or fruit additions. In my manual shaker blender I always put in my milk first, then any additions after so that powder doesn't coagulate and get stuck in the bottom of the cup which I can't stand, but when I tried that order in this blender, the powders didn't altogether blend properly and I ended up w powder chunks stuck towards the top! Ironic, i know. It's really not that loud at all, low buzz is what I would call it, so i feel comfortable whipping up something super early in the morning in the kitchen while the roommate is still sleeping. I can't do that w my N*nja bullet type blender, that thing is loud! As far as cleaning, I couldn't really figure out how best to clean it afterward, taking it apart and hand washing the cap & cylinder, then gingerly rinsing/ wiping the bladed base and keeping water away from the plug in area while making sure it was thoroughly cleaned was a pain. But then i read another reviewer said to just put a drop of dishwashing soap in the blender after you're finished, filling it w some water then blending that was genius, I don't know why I didn't think of it! Now cleaning is an absolute breeze, and I don't have to worry about getting the base/ electrical components wet! All in all, I am incredibly pleased w this product as it's made my morning routine so much easier! Taking into account the loudness of my N*nja blender and the annoyance of cleaning all the pieces of my manual shaker, this handy gadget solves all those problems w ease and portability and Im so glad I took a chance and purchased it! ... show more

I love everything about this blender EXCEPT how long it takes to charge and how often it needs to be charged. It's such a pain that the blender can't run while being charged either
