By my calculations, if this bottle lasts me two months, the cost would be around $3.50 a day. It will be less if it lasts for three months which I think it will. I am willing to pay this price for something that will (and has) completely transformed my skin. This Perricone MD Cold Plasma Plus+ The Essence is a miracle worker. The texture and dry patches on my skin are completely gone. The brown spots from sun and acne scarring have nearly disappeared. My skin just glows. Since incorporating this formula into my skincare routine, I feel confident when I go out without makeup. I watch the Perricone MD presentations on one of the network shopping channels, and I can tell you that this is an excellent price offered.

I got a leaker! And lucky it was only that since the bottle is glass… At over $30/oz., this should be in well designed & well protected packaging, not some average box without even so much as a cardboard liner. The black matte bottle was covered in dried & damp liquid, so that was my introduction to The Essence. [HERE’S HOW TRYING IT WENT:] Once I took the silver top off, I saw a small plastic disc covering the hole that the product comes out of. Lifted that off & did 2 shakes into both hands as the directions say - do it over a sink because it’s like water. My palms full of the stuff, I splashed it on my face, much like I’ve seen my husband do with aftershave. Same idea. It’s slightly sticky at first, cloudy gray in color, & spread across my skin in an odd, somewhat exfoliating way. I let it dry, as directed, & it did soak completely in. (I always try new skincare products at night after a shower so I don’t have to worry about going anywhere afterwards!) I’ve used it for 5 days now, mostly at night because I have just a quick morning routine, & my 61 yr old, very dry, super sensitive, sun damaged skin does feel smoother & has an overall improved appearance. Having said that, it’s not as game changing as I would need to spend over $200 for it. I probably won't buy this again, purely due to the price. Having said that, I do enjoy using this product. It's different from anything I've ever tried. You splash it onto your face with your hands. It does feel refreshing and my skin does look pretty good lately. I love that it features niacinamide, which is one of my favorite skincare ingredients for brightening. I also like the rice water and copper peptides. I don't think I've tried either of those ingredients elsewhere, but I've heard good things. The good news is that this is a big bottle so hopefully it will last a decent amount of time. It feels extremely luxurious to use. A few shakes into your hands, pat it on your face, and let dry. It takes a minute or two to dry and then I continue with serum and moisturizer. It doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky or greasy.

This Perricone MD Cold Plasma Plus+ The Essence is a thin, watery liquid that you apply to clean skin and follow up with a moisturizer. The bottle is big and hefty and looks nice. The directions state to shake the liquid into your palm and then pat onto your face. This is messy and leads to a lot of wasted product so I pour a bit into my cupped palm and then dip 2 fingers in and apply all over my face. What's left on my palm I rub onto my neck. I wish this wasn't so thin and runny so it could be applied easier. I've been using this daily for about a month and have seen no change in the way my skin looks or feels so I can't say that it's actually doing anything for my skin. It's not moisturizing so I do have to use a moisturizer over it. It does not have a scent and does not leave my skin sticky or anything like that. The price is outrageously expensive which would prevent me from buying it again.

I'm not sure that I can explicitly say that _any_ essence product has had obvious benefits to me, and that might be because I always use them (as instructed) in conjunction with other products like moisturizers. So, it's not a cut against this product, but at the price of this, I was hoping that I'd notice _something_. Well, notice some improvement in my skin, that is. What I did notice was that this is a bottle with an opening, and you tip it over and shake some into the palm of your hand. It's hard to really control how much you shake into your palm. For inexpensive aftershave, that's totally fine. I can lather that on and not cost myself much. This stuff is about $36/ounce...for that, I want some more control. Well, and evidence that it's doing something. I have used more expensive skin products that I could clearly tell were better than their less expensive rivals. It's entirely possible that I'm just not a good judge of essence. However, I can't tell a difference between this and other essences except that it costs more.

I am not here to review the price. I am here to review the product. I enjoy using this product and I was relieved to find that it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin in anyway. I even have some dermatitis from the winter and being sick and it did not irritate that at all. It feels good and soothing on my skin. I cannot yet state whether it improves the skin the way it says it does. All I can say at this point is that I really enjoy using it and it comes with a lot of product. It has no particular smell. Will update later with results over time.
