I bought this to pump five gallons of fully synthetic gear oil in my RV's differential. The pump worked great, but they really cheaped out on the vinyl tubing I ended up having to add hose clamps to secure the hose after it blew of twice and made a mess. Also the tubing seemed to be swelling up from the oil. If you buy this make sure you have some hose clamps and maybe buy some hose as well that is oil resistant.

Just installed it and it seems to be just what I needed to pump water out of a rain barrel. I had to slightly modifiy the threaded portion of the barrel to make it work. I trimmed off the raised lip because the threads on the pump didn't quite reach before the Modification. After that it fit perfect and tight.

If you move the 5 gal bucket of potentially toxic liquid, then it spills out all over the place. Completely annoying and dangerous. This product should come with a large circular rubber seal to keep any liquids inside the 5 gallon bucket. Quality is there. Pump works well. Buy yourself a seal and you'll be fine.

Style: Blue Lever Action Barrel Pump
This pump is threaded for 55gal steel drums, not 55gal plastic barrels, the threading is too small to fit in the 2” bung on a 55gal plastic barrel. I bought this based on the product images showing the pump threaded on a 55gal plastic barrel and was disappointed to find out the threading is too small. The packaging my pump arrived in was also poorly packaged with the hardware to attack the primer handle floating around loosely in the box (nuts, washers, machine screws). I also had a pack again sticker clearly labeled to apply to the package for marketing randomly thrown inside the packaging. Overall disappointed with this product. Regarding build quality, the plastic quality feels good and the pump has good suction and lift but I have concerns about the longevity of the telescoping pipe that goes down into the drum, the seal on the telescoping portion does not feel like it would last more than a few seasons of use (it is a rubber bushing to form a seal on the telescoping pipe section). Overall I am going to keep the pump as I do have a few 55gal steel drums I can use it with, but I am deeply disappointed that the product photos show use with a 55gal plastic drum but the actual product does not fit or come with an adapter to thread into a 2” bung.

Assemble of this product does seem cheap and not going to last long. However, it does work very nice. I may come back in a year or so to review how it holds up. Currently, it does work well. The only issue I have is the plastic hose that connects to the metal part. It does leak sometimes. I wish it came with clamp so that I can clamp it if it leaks. I also wish it has way to store away the hose and metal part right on the unit when I no longer use. However, that's not a show stopper. The unit does work as it intended.
