These should be called "stainless steel and brass colored" because they rusted after using them once. I used them to scrub some rocks from a saltwater aquarium and both the brass and the stainless rusted. The brass rusted around the bottom of the bristles and the stainless rusted completely. This is a nice all round set of good brushes. I got these to repair a expensive paint brush that I let get dry and rock hard. Secret to saving a hardened paint brush? Put some drain cleaner in a jar, just a little bit, add water and let soak a few days. The drain cleaner will dissolve the hardened paint. Wash out with hot water, then use these wire brushes to comb out. My ruined pricey paint brush is ready to paint again! Caution, may not work with natural hair brushes. Ok value, but the bristles aren’t as strong or thick as I’d expect. Would not use on a grill, as it wouldn’t be able to withstand more than a few uses. I used it to brush off rust on a car part, and basically got one or two solid uses out of it before the bristles spread out too far for usability.

I feel like this is not as sturdy as I was hoping it would be. I've used it once to clean my car battery terminal and the brush is already deformed. The brush still works, I was just surprised that it deformed after a single light use.

We used these brushes to get rust off of a bunch of old weights (before and after soaking in a vinegar solution). The brushes worked well and stood up to our hours of scrubbing. Used the steel brush for stripping paint off a concrete curb (after treating the paint with a chemical stripper). It did well enough but started to shed the bristles and stop working too soon in my opinion. I expected these to be not very good, but I wanted something inexpensive to help clean some oil off of my car engine, figuring I would not really have a need for them afterwards. These got the job done, but as expected, weren't great quality and they don't seem like they will last past a few uses.
