The soil I had been using was discontinued so I was on the hunt for a new one. I decided to try this one. Well, I had a dash of the luck of the Irish with this. Great soil - no bugs, no smell. It is lightweight but holds moisture well while allowing the roots to breathe. This is the first soil I found that actually does what it says it does. My plants love it! I will keep buying this one only I will be getting the larger size in the future.

I have purchased this soil many times for my aglaonema and they all seem to love it. They thrive even in lower light conditions with a least a new leaf sprouting every other week. I have never had any issues with gnats or other bugs with this soil. The soil is light and fluffy and drains very well but it might take a little longer to dry in a plastic pot than it would in a terra cotta. Even though this soil works very well for my needs I feel like the bag is still a bit small. 8qts will go a long way if your pots are not very big, and if you have previous soil to help backfill the pot with. So far I have repotted several aglaonemas in (2) 8-inch pots, a few 4-inch pots, and (2) six-inch pots. I have about less than a 1/3 of the bag left.

This is now my go to company for soil. I purchased from this company to transplant my snake plant a few months ago and it is thriving. I transplanted my peace lily using the indoor mix the other day and it is so happy. I have anxiety about transplanting and these soils are amazing. I was doing everything everyone was saying with all of the amendments and the chunky soil and that this and the bat and it was murdering all of my plants. I took a chance on This mix and where it was none of the things that everyone was saying that my plants were needing It was exactly what my plants were needing. I wish I could afford to get a lot more of it but it is quite expensive but if you only have a handful of smaller plants to work with that you're trying to get started from rooting this is perfect. I have no complaints. No bugs it doesn't smell bad it's fresh overall it's just great.
