I love this kayak. I got one about 7 years ago and I like it so much I just bought a second one. At 13' long, it can better handle swells and choppy water than a 10' kayak. I feel safe going out on Puget Sound and along the shore of the island where I live. We have frequent visits from family and friends and, unlike the narrow Necky kayak we have, I feel comfortable letting an inexperienced kayaker use this boat. The couple of extra inches in width make a big difference in stability, yet it runs fast and straight. The build quality and materials are excellent. The seat is adjustable and comfortable. Knee pads are really nice. This is a great kayak even for someone with a lot of paddling experience. (And Amazon's free delivery was amazing!) ... show more

Good kayak. A little heavier than I like if not using a cart, but tracks better than most. Overall, good size for slow rivers. Plenty of space for scientific survey equipment. It was delivered within 30 days of ordering on Amazon. It is hard to find this model at local dealers so I'm glad I could have it shipped to me. Had to interact with shipper a couple of times to arrange delivery but it went well. The boat did have a couple small scratches but nothing I would raise hell over. They should wrap it in thicker cardboard. The delivery guy let me inspect it and was regretful o er the scratch. The boat is great. It glides smoothly in the water and is easier to direct than my old 14ft Necky. It's also much easier to load as it is a foot shorter and 7 lbs lighter. Once adjusted the seat is comfy. I don't easily give a 5 star rating for a product, but this kayak is worth it. First I would say that the seat is very comfortable, I would have no problem paddling all day. The foot rests are totally adjustable to your height. I will say the foot rests can come off the rail a bit too easy, so you have to be careful. Next, this boat tracks in the water beautifully. Paddling is easy and cuts through the water well. The boat has two large water tight compartments for storing your gear and buoyancy. I would have no problem taking this out on the ocean, lakes and rivers with class 3 or less rapids. For the size the weight of the boat is reasonable, I have no problems getting this on top of my car. Overall, a lot of boat for a reasonable price. ... show more

Awesome. Took it down the Satilla River in GA for a 4-dat paddle. Performed great. Tracks well and comfortable. Had to buy a seat cushion as the factory seats are not good.

I'm new to kayaking at age 61 and wanted something to grow into. This Perception Conduit 13 had great reviewes for beginners and more experienced so I gave it a try. First time out I was moving as though kayaking comes naturally. Stability was great and tracking was good despite the periods of winds and chop. First time out I spent about 4 hours paddling and found it to be very comfortable. Peddles adjust easily. I live 30 miles from a lake so only had it out several times. Every time, though was a pleasure. I did have issues with shipping, but Amazon's Bulk Delivery Office made it right. Purchased the Perception lifevest and paddles with the Conduit and feel they all work well together. At close to 60 lbs, the Conduit 13 is a manageable carry.
