These are super easy to use if you’re a beginner. They dry down pretty nicely and don’t smudge too badly. I mean you really get what you paid for with these. I’d say they’re good quality for the price but if you’re looking for something more durable and thicker then I’d look elsewhere. They’re a little thicker than a crayon and break kind of easily. Their color variety is wonderful and they’re pretty easy to blend once you get the hang of it. I genuinely enjoyed using these for some simple practice with the medium. ... show more

I’m new to oil pastel but not other mediums It’s not as buttery as expensive ones it is hard to layer The white almost has no color and it’s more like a blending color I could not make it opaque They are somewhat smooth I tried on rough and soft paper They came intact nothing was broken 5. These are basically crayons. They do not blend well at all. I gave three stars because they are cheap and there is a good variety of colors, but they do not work for the art I want to create. They might work better for a child because they don’t smudge as much as they should. They also may be good for an art journal for the same reason.
