I was new at watercoloring so I figured I would give these a try. These are really great and a lot less messy than using watercolors. I got a marker that you put a little bit of water in and just paint over the pencil marks I made and it makes a pretty watercolor. Very easy with good results

These are a good value and work great with watercolors. They are rather light, which can be both frustrating and helpful, depending. I got this set because of the price, to determine if I’ll actually use watercolor pencils, so they’ve done what I needed them to do.

I like the way they work and it seems like I have more control w/the pencils in terms of color saturation and no drips. If you’re curious about them give them a try.
