This review is for the Pentel Arts 24 count colored pencils. Cons: First of all I did not receive the package that was pictured. The box pictured looks like it has a few different colors than the one I received. There is no color chart. There are no color names printed on the pencils. I created my own color chart and made up names for each color. Pros: I did receive 24 Pentel Arts colored pencils, except with different packaging. Each pencil is numbered. They color smoothly. They have a good pigment. Colors are pretty. I got them on a deal. While I do like these pencils, I think they are worth it if you can find them on a deal but I wouldn’t pay full price. I got these color pencils and they were pretty sturdy didn’t break and worth the money if you do pretty colorful art but did with they had like a tan color there were mostly really bright colors but do recommend

I purchased these for my 90 yr old mother to use in an adult color book. She hasn't done any coloring, and is not artistic, so I did not want to overwhelm her with too many colors to choose from, so the 24 pack is the perfect size. I tried these out to see how good they are, and was pleasantly surprised at how smootly they lay down color, the vibrancy that can be attained, and they also blend well. I would not even mind using these myself! I have four sets of colored pencils, in 50color to 100color sets; from Crayola to Prismacolor Premier. I keep the Crayola ones for my grandkids to use, they are durable, and excellent for the money, but not great for adults. Prismacolor Premier are the best, I've used them for 30 years. The two other sets I have are generic, one is quite good, one is a step above Crayola. I would put these Pentel Arts Color Pencils at the same quality as the generic brand that are good. My main conern was whether these would be dark enough for my mother to see well, as she has some vision issues, but without too much pressure, they are plenty dark. I read reviews that they did not sharpen well. As these are a gift, and came pre-sharpened, I have not tried sharpening them. I will adjust the review if there are problems in this regard. Don't get me wrong, Pentel makes a great color pencil. Good solid colors that blend well. But shame on Amazon for selling me a box of pencils that somebody had already used, evidently didn't like, and returned. The box looked like it had already been opened and closed a few times and several pencil points were rounded, where the unused ones are super sharp.
