  • Cute little tank
As expected for under $10. Cute little starter tank for a kid and his first gold fish. I happen to be using it for crickets for our bearded dragon and it suits well for that as well.

  • Super cute but arrived cracked. Got refunded though.
Super cute but needs to be packaged better in the shipping process. It arrived in mail with a crack in the corner. Decided to just do a return instead of a replacement. I did get a refund though thankfully. 2 stars for cuteness and 1 star for getting a refund. 2 stars taken off because it was cracked. ... show more

The picture of Dory in the back of the tank fell off when I cleaned the tank. I would have also liked for Bailey to be a plastic decoration and not just a cardboard cut out. Otherwise, it’s a good size tank for a beta fish.

  • PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE BUYING A PET/ You've probably seen me comment this elsewhere
BEFORE YOU CONSIDER PURCHASING, PLEASE look through all of Amazon's options, your local fish store, visit Petco/Petsmart on their sale days, and both craigslist and ebay listings, YOU CAN GET A 20+ GALLON TANK FOR UNDER $15 IF YOU JUST LOOK! This will save you money, make cleaning and maintaining easier, and provide a much better life for whatever animals you choose to put in it! A 20g tank is NOT HUGE EITHER! Mine is only 2 feet across and fits perfectly on my desk, but I have seen others that somewhat taller and give you a lot more room to work with! This is a perfect size for a kid's dresser or your work space! As for this tank, this looks dreadful. Much too small for any fish, please do not force an animal into something like this. Small fish like bettas and guppies require specific care and their needs cannot be met in a tank this tiny. Animals like shrimp and snails also require a lot of care and cannot thrive in a 1 gallon tank, as shrimp are incredibly sensitive to water chemistry and snails will over exceed the amount of waste you can balance out in such a small environment (aka, their bioload). DO NOT PUT GOLDFISH IN THIS TANK! Goldfish are also incredibly sensitive, and need to be in LARGE spaces with other goldfish! Many goldfish will grow to be about a foot long, REGARDLESS OF HOW SMALL THE TANK IS, and require 30-50 gallons BY THEMSELVES. They generally must live in groups of THREE OR MORE, and will live to be 20-60 years old, you CANNOT successfully keep them in this! There is NO SUCH THING as an easy pet if you actually do the research and provide adequate care for whatever animal you decide to get. Additionally, there needs to be a natural balance of "good" and "bad" bacteria in any aquatic environment, and you simply cannot achieve this in such a small area. In order to compensate for the amount of waste your animals produce, you're probably going to be dumping out their water every few days, COMPLETELY RESTARTING that buildup of healthy bacteria. There is no room for a filter or heater, which are MANDATORY items for nearly all aquatic life, and adding any decorations will only further crowd your fish, making it even worse for them to live in. Also, please learn about the Nitrogen cycle and properly cycling your tank before you put anything in it! This will prevent all those tears from your kids and save you lots of money from all the replacement fish and/or medications you would need to buy for them otherwise! Sensitive animals like fish, shrimp, snails, frogs, etc can die within hours of being placed into an uncycled, unnatural environment, you, your children, and the animals will be SO MUCH HAPPIER with a proper setup! If you'd like to grow something in this sort of a setup, you can make it into a terrarium for small bugs like caterpillars, or stick to the the "ocean" theme and grow triops or sea monkeys/brine shrimp in there! These animals generally do not require specialized care, and their natural lifespan is only a few months at most. Triops are a little harder to grow, but will lay eggs, so your kids can see their life cycle again and again. Also, if you ever get a larger tank, you can feed the triops/sea monkeys to your other fish or frogs. PLEASE, educate yourself and make an intelligent decision before buying something like this to put animals in! ... show more

  • Looks cheap
The background is a cardboard cut out that you attach to the back of the tank. The finding Dory aspect was why I bought it but it just looked cheap and you could easily print out a picture and get a better tank.
