Description

Inspired by the ombre blankets once used by cowboys after long days on the range, the Pendleton Yakima Camp Blanket features rustic stripes and richly colored mixed yarns, offering a timeless, heritage look. Woven from a premium blend of 86% wool and 14% cotton, it provides exceptional warmth, breathability, and durability, making it the perfect warm blanket for both home and outdoor adventures. Wool’s natural insulating properties help regulate temperature, keeping you warm in the cold while remaining breathable in milder weather. Whether layered on a bed, draped over a couch, or packed for a weekend camping trip, this versatile wool throw blanket delivers comfort in any setting. Designed for long-lasting use, it comes in multiple sizes—90" x 90" for full/queen beds and 66" x 84" for twin—with sturdy whipstitch binding reinforcing the edges for extra durability. Wool’s natural moisture- wicking and odor-resistant properties further enhance its practicality, ensuring freshness and comfort over time. Ideal as a packable blanket for travel, an outdoor picnic blanket, or one of the best large throw blankets for the couch, this oversized throw blanket combines function and classic Pendleton style. With proper care, this finely woven blanket will maintain its softness, strength, and beauty for years to come. To preserve its luxurious texture and quality, dry cleaning is recommended.

  • Excellent quality
Color: Mineral Umber Size: Queen
Better than I expected. This blanket is heavy, thick, soft, and warm. Since I am very comfortable with washing wool items, I washed this blanket in my front loading washer on the "Hand Wash" cycle, spun it out well, and dried flat on my bed. It is even softer now and changed very little in size - at least I don't think it did. I didn't measure before washing, but label says it was 90 by 90 inches, it now measures 88 by 84 inches. It is the perfect size for my queen mattress and I'm delighted with the quality and everything about this. Made in Oregon, which is in the USA.... !! Edited to add: I said I am very comfortable washing woolens, I have done it for many years even when the label says dry clean only. It is a risk, but I have never had a bad outcome. I spin my own yarn and also machine wash my knitted items from handspun in my front loader washer on the hand wash setting. If you truly hand wash, whether in the sink with small items or in a washer that has a HAND WASH cycle - note that "DELICATE" is NOT the same and will felt your woolens! - hand washing is much easier, less toxic and makes the fabric softer which might be what is desirable in clothing items. Always dry flat and not in a clothes dryer. Note also that this manufacturer says "Dry Clean Only" and I am not recommending hand washing instead, just giving anecdotal information on my hand washing experience. If you do use your washer, and live with other people who might try to help you out, put a sticky note on the washer that the item should NOT be put into the dryer! ... show more

  • Extremely nice U.S. made wool blanket
I originally purchased this blanket in the Lake color because I loved the look and had never owned or seen a Pendleton blanket. I own two Woolwich wool blankets and I was willing to fork over the money for a compare. I can say that they're both very well made (in the U.S.) blankets with the Pendleton being slightly softer. I'm not saying the Woolwich is scratchy but it's not quite as soft as the Pendleton. So here's the issue I ran into with this blanket. The second my wife saw it she was under it every single night. After realizing I was never going to get to try this blanket out I bought a second one in green heather. It's just as beautiful a color as the Lake color and now I get to experience what sleeping beauty has been experiencing for the last couple of months. For a blanket that will surely outlive me, the price is fantastic. Wool has that strange ability to keep you warm in the winter but never hot because of it's ability to breathe. If you want a soft wool blanket look no farther. ... show more

  • Better then Expected
This is a great blanket. I have many Pendeltons ranging from the cheapo big-box store sold ones to the most $$$ they offer and love them all. I expected this to be a lower shelf product but was wrong. This is warm, light, and relatively inexpensive (inflation aside). I just ordered another in a larger size, and this makes four. ... show more

  • Nice blanket, but not very warm…
Nice blanket, but it has more of a cotton feel vs. wool. It has a nice weight, and is well made, but it’s not as warm as pure wool versions I own. It’s also larger than your average throw blanket. For what it is, again, it is very nice quality product, but if warmth is your primary focus, may not be the best blanket for you. ... show more

  • Well worth the price
Color: Mineral Umber Size: Twin
Worth all the five star reviews. Light, warm, comfortable, and looks great. Made in the USA and well worth the money. Backcountry, had these on sale so I bought a twin and a queen! Will be buying more as gifts in the future. I don't find the wool itchy or scratchy; it may be a little rough, but is comfortable enough to use wrapped up in on the couch. I like it much better than synthetic fleece throws and blankets I had been using. Update 1-11-18: I bought a Pendleton Eco-wise blanket later and thought I would give a comparison for those trying to decide on a blanket. I wish Pendleton would give more information as far as weights, thickness, and warmth. The camp blanket is thicker, but this may be because it is napped more (more fuzzy). The eco-wise blanket is smoother with less "fuzz". Both blankets feel about the same weight... hmmm. The eco-wise blanket allows light to pass through easily, while the camp blanket blocks light out. As you can see in the pictures, the camp blanket has much more volume, even though its dimensions are slightly smaller than the eco-wise (the packaging shows the difference in thickness, too). The eco-wise blanket was very stiff out of the package, almost like thin cardboard, and Pendleton recommends washing and line drying for a softer feel. I just dragged it around the house and used it, and it seems to have relaxed just fine. Both are warm, but my mind keeps saying "thicker is warmer," so I tend to grab the fluffy camp blanket when it is cold. The eco-wise might be better in warmer weather as it seems "lighter". Oh, the Native American inspired and National Park blankets seem to be in between the two as far a thickness and how they are napped. ... show more

  • Quality kanket, as always
Color: Mineral Umber Size: Twin
We gsve this to our neighbor as a gift. He absolutely loves it. These blankets are well made, great-looking, and warm. If you want a blanket that will last, get a Pendleton.

  • Amazing
This is worth the money. Not itchy and perfect size. I bought twin even though I have a queen bed. Perfect size for one person. Use it on top of a cotton sheet. I was sick of polyester crap and decided to invest in a good quality blanket.

  • HEAVEN!
Color: Green Heather Size: Large
My husband and I have had this in our Amazon shopping cart for over a year! We are so thankful we were finally able to purchase it! It is worth every penny of the $255 price tag! We had smaller wool blankets on our full bed, and with this we purchased a queen. It hangs over the perfect amount. The most amazing things is how warm it keeps us with just a flannel sheet underneath. Much warmer than out other wool blankets! It's so soft and luxurious. We LOVE it! :) Thank you Pendleton <3 ... show more
