I’ve owned this case for my last iPhone (iPhone 6+) and my current iPhone (iPhone XS Max). I forget what I had on my iPhone 8. I absolutely love it. I’ve owned 2 or 3 on this current iPhone (because the bottom edge with the thinner rubber pieces felt like it was getting loose). I think it fits perfectly fine and will acknowledge that the buttons are not as satisfying to click as they are without the case or in other cases but it’s definitely not a problem. The fit is good. I think some of these reviews are for other Pelican cases and I can’t attest to those because I’ve only ever owned this model. The protection is good. The look is good: subtle, black-on-black, clean. I use ZAGG screen protectors in addition to Pelican cases. When the new phones first drop you can easily spend another $100 to get yourself protected but after a while the prices drop like crazy. For example, this case was $40 or $50 when the XS phones released and now it’s $10. The ZAGG screen protectors were also $40 or $50 and now they’re $5 (glass+ anyway - I know the blue light blocking ones don’t come down as much). TLDR: this is a quality company making quality products that I have purchased multiple times (because the case was looking worn not because it stopped working) and will continue to purchase. PS: if you don’t like this case then I’d recommend something from Tech 21 - I never liked otterbox ... show more

I have a couple Pelican luggage pieces and am always so happy when I use them...because they are really made well all around. This case in no exception! I just got a new phone and it seems all the cases out today are getting "messy." Remember when gym shoes were plain and they matched everything and were not gaudy messes? And today they are all trying to outbling each other? Phine cases are starting to get that way. I walked all over the mall and look at kiosks and stores and not one appealing case for an adult male. So I went looking on Amazon and lucked into this case from Pelican. As SOON as I got it out of the box I knew it was perfect. It is a great fit and feels like it makes my phone much tougher. It is sleek, matte black, and has just enough style in just the right spots. and, it really feels like it fits the phone better than any other gase I have used. Extremely great price I payed for this case and it surpasses the Otterbox (I’ve owned many). It’s so clean and slick and it’s a pelican which is arguably the most trusted brand for anything case related. I love it. I’ve scuffed it up a couple times already and it’s easy to clean them out up. After using otterboxes for years, I found these pelican cases for my iPhone. Ill never get an otter again. Very solid and the rubber around the edges makes them very easy to hold! It sticks to your hand or firm on any table or other hard serface. Great design.

Excellent quality, between my case tester ( 1 year old child from the depths of hell ) and my hands somehow decide randomly “hey, let drop this phone....NOW”. It’s held up great. So if you're on the fence about spending the money in a good case, don’t be a cheap SOB and a get a great case like me.
