It’s the quality you expect from a North Face. I put this through the ringer. 4 days on Eagle Rock loop in Southern Arkansas (most difficult trail in Arkansas). Very comfortable. I’m a short guy, but have a thick chest and shoulders. It cinched up well, but has plenty of room for a taller person. It was very water resistant as well. We got stuck in a couple of downpours, and all my gear stayed dry (big mental relief when you’re away from shelter).

Didn't notice that this was last seasons pack. It's still a great pack and I like it but this price is way too high for last seasons pack. You can find it for $50 cheaper on backcountry and many other sites.

Top quality, well made, brand that is worth the cost. Used for backpacking in NZ and Fiji ~ light weight inner frame with full side zipper and shoulder harness with solid back support and comfortable padding. Size 55 fits into our soft sided luggage perfectly.

Excellent for backpacking. We took ours through Laos. The waist strap is great at relieving weight off your back and mesh pocket is extremely helpful. It held everything we needed for a 2 week trip and then some. Our only complaint was it didnt fit in some carry on compartments even though it was supposed to. Nothing major though.

This pack came with a very stiff back, it seemed to round in at the upper back and felt like it was pushing me forward. I walked about 1/2 mil in it and new it wasn't for me.

The top pocket does not stay sturdily. It looks kinda empty no matter how much you tighten the ropes. It only looks good when both your backpack and the top pocket are so full! I think the design of the pocket should be altered to address this appearance issue. Otherwise, I recommend this backpack for the low weight and comfort.
