This is my very first expensive fishing kayak. A lot of people told me to avoid this kayak because the HD was so bad. I figured I’d do it anyway for the price and boy I don’t regret it at all. I’ve been fishing out of this kayak for about 8 months now and i havnt had a single issue. It is light weight so wind does effect it but if you get a good power pole and anchor you shouldn’t have any problems. For a lake environment it is ok, I belong a team that suport open water swimmers so I thought it was good idea to have a pedal kayak to have more speed to reach any swimmer that needs help. The only issue is if you follow the instructions to avoid damage the pedal and you are not tall enough your pedal does not get locked correctly one you are in the water , so I lost the pedals in those wave, I have been making it with the paddle since the pedal are too expensive. ... show more

Fantastic entry level pedal kayak despite not have instant reverse. Kayaks tracks straight with the rudder deployed. I was mainly looking for a lightweight pedal kayak I can carry top and this fits that bill.

It does normal kayak things, wish the fins were longer for more speed. Might mount a trolling motor. Very stable, comfort is mid, kinda heavy for one person, bit on the pricy side tho, can turn on a dime if you lean into it
