This is just a great kayak. Much better than the store brand from a sports store local to us. It’s heavy, but light enough for us to carry together from our shed out to the lake. We kayak along the shore of Lake Michigan and it’s sturdy for our 7 year old to ride and tracks nicely.

Took the kayak out for the first time and we had so much fun, the seats were very comfortable and able to adjust if needed. I will say its a bit heavy and will definitely need two people to carry it once unloaded. The only issue i had is the center holder is not very secure. I put my phone and keys in there and a few minutes later they completely fell through the compartment and got a bit wet, but other then that I love it. ... show more

This comes to you much lighter in color than pics show, but all good for us. Feels very heavy even for 2 adults...be aware. We utilized the built-in cooler(live well) that is located behind the back seat. It is very large & we packed drinks & a lunch with ice packs...so much loving this feature though I thought we would flip when fiance was maneuvering around to pull things from there...lol. Very roomy seating & leg room...a 🦒 could easily fit in there. We enjoyed our day on the water & got lots of folks looking at our awesome kayak! ... show more

2 stars because it floats. This thing is incredibly heavy. They missed the boat on using lighter materials to build this….boat. If you want to awkwardly try to hulk this onto the roof of an suv with oversized tires as a 5’9” man, while envisioning your next chiropractic visit in the coming days, well my friend - this is your kayak. ... show more

    • Missing Parts
The customer service from the manufacturer is absolutely shameful. When I received the Kayak from Amazon the Keel Extension was damaged and the hardware missing. Amazon recommended contacting the manufacturer to remedy the damaged part. Pelican now markets there kayaks through Confluence Outdoor. I attempted to contact Confluence on multiple occasions and each time was kicked out of their system and told to call back. When I finally got through to a real person I was told to complete a form on their website following which I would be contacted by a representative. It’s been over a week now and not a peep from Confluence Outdoor. It appears as though they would rather have me return the boat via Amazon for a full refund as opposed to sending me a replacement part (approximately $50 value on their website). The customer service at this company is extremely poor and given that, I will never purchase another Pelican product. ... show more
