  • Works on small frame
Color: Aqua/Grey
I really like having my son in front of me and being able to see him. It's actually easy to install but I put it on backwards at first and it took me a while to figure that out. I do like that I can remove the seat with just the click of a button. I have a small frame women's bike as I'm only 5'3 and there is still room to peddle. I lowered the bike so that I could be flat footed. ... show more

  • Installed it myself!!
Color: Grey/Red
My one year old son and I are enjoying our bike rides together. I love having him in front of me and we get to talk to each other while riding. I was concerned about my knees hitting the seat but it’s not bad. I don’t have to adjust too much. I was also nervous about installation but I was able to do it myself pretty easily. It took me 20 minutes inside to get everything together and then 20 minutes actually installing on the bike. I wish it had a 5 point harness instead of 3 but I like that it has the handle bar for him. He holds that most of the time. ... show more

  • Almost perfect seat. Hard padding, legs are angled weird.
Color: Aqua/Grey
I tried three different seats for my Scott mountain bike. 1. Ibert safe t seat- this was the easiest to install and would probably grow with my daughter the longest, but it lacked back support, shoulder straps fell a lot, seemed like a flimsy way of securing the seat to the bike, there was a lot of wiggle in the seat because it was only connected to the bar by one cotter pin. 2. Thule Yepp Nexxt Mini- this would’ve been my favorite seat. It was so Light weight and well made. Unfortunately my ahead stem diameter was too large for the mounting bracket. Even if I could have gotten it to mount, the feet of the seat landed exactly where my fork was. My bike was just not compatible with the seat. 3- brings me to the Orion seat. Third time is a charm. This seat seems smaller than the previous two. I doubt I’ll get as much use out of it due to that. But the way it mounts to my bike seems extremely secure, it comes up high enough to provide some more back support, have built in suspension to help absorb some bumps. The shoulder straps stay in place. I do bump my knees in this seat ever so slightly where as the ibert I did not at all, but it doesn’t bother me and I don’t have to ride bow legged. The cons I see with this seat is the padding is a bit firm, it does affect my ability to turn my handlebars, and I don’t like how the legs on the seat are splayed outwards, it seems like an uncomfortable and unnatural way for a young baby to sit (well really for anyone to sit like that), but I figured for the amount of time my daughter will be in the seat I’m not too concerned. So I reckon this is the seat I’ll keep. ... show more

  • Best front rider toddler seat
Color: Lime Green/Grey
A definite 5* item. Ways better than all the others we’ve tried. Sturdy and well made, thick plastic keeping its shape under a 25lb kid. All mounting components are solid and properly finished. Overall quality feel to the whole thing. Installs easy and secure to most bike frames including double suspension. One exception would probably be tri-fold 20” city bikes with tall handlebar stem. Can still be attached, but might be uncomfortably low for both parent and kid. Mounting system is a blast. You attach a very compact clamp to the bike frame that doesnt bother you at all if riding alone. The seat itself, including its support spring, snaps in and out of the clamp with a single button push. The seller can provide additional clamp on request to outfit both parents’ bikes and transfer the seat between them as needed. Child restraint system includes shoulder straps, seat bar, and foot stands/straps. Kept our wiggly restless kiddo in and secure, which isnt at all easy. All in all, clearly the best of all front riding systems available. 1-yr update: still holding fine, sturdy enough for a 30-lb kid. Not a single complaint so far. One minor issue, the latches holding footrests in place are rather small, so the kid can get his foot loose with a well aimed upward jerk. Could probably bolt those rests in place but seems too minor to bother. Seat bar latch on the contrary is pretty tight and hard to get open for someone with small fingers. Guess that’s intentional though. ... show more

  • Top quality, quick to fit, attach and remove seat in 10 seconds.
Color: Blue/Red
We initially purchased a Bell carrier on a whim while out shopping. It was about $50 but it was terrible. Flimsy plastic, and you practically had to weld it to your bike so there was no removing it. I'd found a review of the OKBaby Orion, but it just seemed to be available in Europe, but now, Peg Perego have taken the same model and made it available in the US. Initial impressions on opening the compact box was that it was very well made compared to the Bell, the plastic was tougher, but not too thick to make it heavy, the padding was ample, you also get all the required fixing components in a nicely made tub rather than all dumped into a plastic bag, which made it feel good quality. Fitting the fixing system (basically the black block in the photo) was pretty straight forward, you pick the correct size rubber padding for your headset, then bolt on 4 bolts to your frame. It took about 15 mins to get it fixed, and this was just using the small spanner that was supplied in the box, using a socket set would have been easier. You then attach the metal fixing bar to the seat and this slots in to the Orion fixing. It takes 10 seconds or so to attach and remove the seat, it's fantastic and much sturdier than you'd expect. Using the seat on a bike is great. Our 1 year old wee girl is about 20lbs and fits in it perfectly, but there is still room for when she grows. We took her out on a smooth bike trail and she was confused by it at first, but seemed to enjoy it, we had her smiling towards the end, I'm sure she'll love it more once she gets more used to it. It feels safe, with the harness and the quick release front bar, plus there was no movement at all from the fixing, even although it is only fitted by two bars and four bolts. Would highly recommend, and it is a great design and perfect if you're looking to use your bike with and without the seat.. Edit - added photo of mount on my hybrid ... show more
