I purchased this to upgrade me standard Thule bike seat. as my children grew, when riding over bumps or turns, the seat would hit or rub the rear wheel. I was really weary about buying this adapter because on the Thule website, it is so hard to find information on what seat/adapter fits what. So when my Thule RideAlong lite was too low, I ordered this and it fit like a charm. I didn't realize at first you need to remove the black plastic piece for the Lite version, but after a minute, of it not fitting right, I realized it. I wish Thule would do a better job in regards to their instructions and information, but other than that, it worked perfectly. Seller shipped it quickly, as it estimated to be delivered between 3/31-4/2 and it arrived 3/26! Can't wait to take my daughter out later on! ... show more

Is a good extra, but is really annoying that the users have to buy an extra piece for something that should be elegible at the time you buy the whole Thule package. I use it with my Trek M7. What do I do with the standard arm?

While we could fit both the Thule RideAlong 100101 Child Bike Seat, Light Gray on our bike. With the shorter adapter, it was quite a tight fit against our saddle seat so we upgraded to the newer Thule RideAlong Child Bike Seat , which comes with a longer adapter but that still wasn't right. I'm not sure why this low saddle adapter has such terrible reviews. It works really well with our tricycle. The child seat sits up a little bit higher than before but the angle of the low saddle adapter makes it easier to install and gives my son more space for his legs. Because the child seat is a little higher, we have the use of the basket between the back wheels. ... show more

Purchased this to add height to my Thule Ridealong and it works great. The mounting of the cables for my Gary Fisher Marlin made attaching the frame lock too low, such that the seat rubbed on my back tire every time I hit a bump. This adapter gave me an extra 3 inches to work with and I took the kid out without any issues. Although I think this part should have been included with the original seat package, it is a great solution for anyone needing extra height for their Ridealong seat. ... show more

This thing works great, I was having trouble finding a kids seat that would fit my bike (Diamondback Overdrive 29er) because of the low seat tube. The Thule ridealing mini seemed like it fit all my needs except for the stock bar it came with. With this low saddle adapter you can see that now I have enough clearance to ride with my daughter in tow. I have added some pictures of the back of the mechanism as well because no one has posted it and hopefully it will help you decide if it will fit your bike. ... show more

This product does exactly as advertised. My wife’s bike had an issue with the original Thule mount because it tested on the back tire. This mount provides an extra two to three inches of clearance over the rear tire. Very solid product that does exactly as it is described. I would like to see Thule offer the bike seat with the option to get either this mount or the original instead of making you purchase this afterwards. ... show more
