    • Dogs love it, but not the best ingredients
We have 2 large golden retrievers and they sure can pack away the food. They are mostly outdoor dogs and eat anything and everything set in front of them! They are not picky at all when it comes too food.......even some things that aren't supposed to be food they will eat. We tend to get our dogs food at Sam's and Costco which has pretty good ingredients in their dog food. But we live out in the country and there are times that we just cant get to town to buy dog food and online ordering is what happens. So far our dogs have loved it. Honestly though, if a dog food is going to be advertised as beef and lamb I think (in my personal opinion) that meat should be a lot higher up in the list of ingredients. Looking at the ingredients there are 8 filler things mentioned before beef or lamb (including chicken). Either way, our dogs love it and haven't refused it once. ... show more

I really never thought I would get my big sweet girl to eat dry dog food. I have never met a dog who turned her nose up at so many different brands and types of dog food as Ono has. She is a rescue dog and I wonder if what I rescued her from was a previous life of steak and caviar. She could go a long time without touching the dry food I bought and always ended up throwing away, day by day, as she left it untouched. So, when I tried this Pedigree adult dry food, and it started disappearing from her bowl a little bit more each day, I was very, very happy about it. It isn't that she pounced on it and gobbled it down. But over the course of the day it got from her bowl to her stomach and that's a big step in the right direction. Even though I try to stick to a dog food where the first ingredient is meat, and this one lists the first ingredient as ground corn, and the second as meat, what matters in this case is that she is actually eating it. ... show more

"Variety is the Spice of Life"! I mix it up a bit when feeding our dog, so she receives all sorts of kibble flavors mixed with her wet food. This Pedigree High Protein Adult Dog Food is Beef and Lamb flavor, and so far it's a winner for our Katrina, an older Mini Schnauzer. She may be old and a little picky, but still has an appetite - that's good. She ate it, along with her wet food and broth. Sometimes she's not interested in Kibble, but she went for it with gusto. I'm guessing it's the Beef and Lamb combination. This kibble is colorful and crunchy, with different shapes and sizes. Actually, the 1st ingredient is corn, then some meat and bone meal, beef, chicken fat/ by-product, lamb meal and more, plus a few grains, some assorted vegetables, and plenty of vitamins and minerals - a complete balanced meal.     • Actually not terrible poops | Pedigree High Protein Adult Dry Dog Food Beef and Lamb
I've tried quite a bit of Pedigree foods over the years for both my cats and dogs but in general I often found that Pedigree foods produced the stinkiest poops of any brand I tried. However I'm happy to say that this food was the first time I felt like the switch didn't cause a nearly-lethal scent change in my doggy's daily routine. I'm assuming that's because it's got more protein and less junk filler, so that would not surprise me if so. Since it didn't cause a poop issue for my dog it got five stars from me, and she of course loved it so no issues there either. Recommended. ... show more
