I like to serve this with fava beans and a nice chianti. Seriously, though, one of the ranking options on this review page if for "Flavor". Flavor?! Do they think I'm gonna try it to see? Do they think my dog has given me a paws up for the way it tastes? Do they think a dog is going to turn up his nose at whatever you put in his bowl? Flavor? Having said that, it does taste good. My dog does like it, though. The bulk of his food is dry food, and I add a little of this every meal for a little texture/flavor boost. Stir in some warm water, and it makes a nice gra mix he has no problem wolfing down. I know he loves it because he told me so by trying to lick my face when he's done. ... show more

I needed to quickly grab something as I had lost track of the dogs canned food while setting up for the new family addition. I normally use can food as a small little treat to flavor up her dry food. Normally, she'll just about anything. It is rare for my dog to be picky, but this product made her really picky. The stew was fine with her but the beef had her turning her nose up and walking away. However, her pickiness isn't the companies fault so I didn't remove stars because of that. (Especially since the male cat in the house was attempting everything to get at this food because he wanted it instead.) The smell alone wasn't the best. I found it to be a little gross at times. It was also mostly gravy than it was other contents. Overall it was fine in a temporary pinch, but I wouldn't continuously get this. ... show more
