A better version of Gatorade for a fraction of the cost.

This is a healthy and cost efficient hack to get electrolytes into your kid's body. Both of my kids are very active. Buying Gatorade for them everyday would be a ridiculous waste of money. Pedialyte gives us the option of buying the packets and knowing what's in them. I mix them with water and put them in the refrigerator to cool. Add a little ice cubes to it and both of my kids get their electrolytes. The taste is so good that they have no idea that it's not gatorade. It keeps them hydrated and we get to control the amount of sugar going into their bodies. It's to the point where every day my son asked me for a Gatorade because he loves the taste so much of the Pedialyte. Highly recommended for kids whether they are athletic or not. Hydration is so important especially with our young ones. When school starts up again I will make sure they both have one before school and after school. My son had football practices all summer and this kept him from cramping and it kept him very well hydrated it is a very effective product with good ingredients. And it keeps him energized.

My favorite had to be the fruit punch, the other three were SOUR :( ... and still with that aftertaste ... These are OK if you're recovering from an illness or something, but definitely NOT my go to for daily hydration.

Best electrolytes for kids !

Easy to mix and have available quickly. I like a variety powder pack rather than a bottle of Pedialyte that must be used within 3 days. Truly love this brand and flavor. It tastes like a blueberry slushie with an extra salty flavor (pleasant not unbearable) due to its electrolyte compounds. Instead of opting for the generic brand or basic pedialyte powder our family enjoys this specific one more-so than any other brands or flavors. Sometimes we even opt to mix flavors. Pedialyte is especially great for athletes with excessive sweating, adults and kiddos with diarrhea or vomiting as this specific product adds the extra salt factor (33% more) which helps replace and replenish the body to keep going strong. The specific formula in powder format works best for our family because these powder packets can be taken anywhere and do not require lots of space, nor are they temperature sensitive. Essentially all we do is take a couple packets to go and when we are ready to consume, simply add the powder to any 12oz bottled water. Just tear open, pour in and shake. Instantly we have all we need. KID FRIENDLY HELPER: While at home my lil guy may not want to drink anything so what I opt to do is make the mixture and add it to silicone icecream pop molds that I bought at Marshall's. I then put the mold into the freezer and vwala, a couple hours later - my guy has ready-made “popsicles”. I don't know a single kid who would say no to “popsicles”. He loves these and will take a Pedialyte-pop before any other popsicle. For us, that's a winner. Well, hope this review has helped you decide. Best quality and not sugary. Very effective for this summer to keep my baby hydrated.
