The taste is good 3.8/5 don’t get me wrong however it’s just TOO sweet/rich even when mixing with pb powder the vanilla is just TOO gourmet lol. It’s not too pricey for what you get so,I wouldn’t mind ordering again if my go to is out of stock/price.

It's been a while since I purchased a muscle or weight gain powder. I used to drink them all the time back in the day and a lot of those powders tasted horrible. But this Muscle Tech powder tastes amazing. First I have to remark on the container - it's huge!! 5 lbs for the price (under $40). Not bad at all!! It arrived yesterday and I made my first post-workout smoothie with it this evening using whole milk and strawberry yogurt. Wow! It blended well and the texture was smooth and creamy. I got the vanilla milkshake flavor, and they really nailed it - there was no grittiness, no unpleasant aftertaste. I did some research, and this is a really reputable brand and I'm excited to see what it does for my body over the next several weeks. The taste makes it something I know I'll look forward to after my workouts and I'm dying to try different fruits, nut butters and milks!

First time I had this was at work. I had 8 ounces of almond milk, 8 ounces of water, a banana, 2 tbsp of peanut butter and 1/2 a cup of oats. I normally do this combination but with protein powder. Thought I'd try a mass gainer to add even more calories. Overall, it came up to just above 1,000 calories. Not a huge deal. I have had plenty of thousand calorie meals. The first night at work I felt sick within the first half an hour of taking it. My mouth was dry, my head was foggy, my mind was racing, I was pacing back and forth, when I was sitting down I was heavily tapping my right foot against the ground. I wanted to leave. I felt like I was having a panic attack. I sucked it up and worked my shift. When I got home I immediately made a hot bubble bath with espom salt, which I could only muster 5 minutes in without feeling the urge to get out, took some pepto and laid on my bed for about half an hour. I could finally move but I still felt sick. Better, but not back to normal. Had a good night sleep and woke up much better. Second night, which for me is right now, I had just the mass gainer powder, 8 ounces of almond milk and 8 ounces of water. Nothing added to it, figured it was probably too much calories, in particular carbs. Nope. Not only did the EXACT same thing happen as the previous it was so much worse. Having food in it helped, having no food in it at all made it stupidly worse. Everything that happened before x 10 and then now I have really bad gas and muscle stomach cramps. I had to leave work half an hour early. I also bike to work and back, and biking back, for the first half of my 10-mile ride back home I honestly thought I was going to have to pull over, vomit and/or pass out and call for an ambulance. It was awful. Again, I sucked it up. Focused on my breathing, telling myself this feeling isn't forever, it's temporary and I made it home. But now here I am after a hot shower, pepto and some water, and my stomach is massively cramping up. I didn't even use the entire 6 scoops as recommended. I only used half that amount BOTH times and I still feel like this. I also forgot to mention that I had to make an emergency trip to the restroom at work and when I did I had blood on my toilet paper. So, yeah, stay away from this mass gainer. If anything, this made me stay away from all mass gainers. Drink this if you want a dry mouth, stomach cramps, foggy head, racing mind, state of panic/dread and blood on your toilet paper. Plus gas. Never. Again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I saw this was an Amazon’s Choice and the thousands of positive reviews; so I went ahead and purchased the vanilla milkshake flavor. HOLY COW! Soooo good! I love it! I’m already on my second container! I love that there’s no funky aftertaste that usually comes with protein powders. It mixes so well in the smoothies I make! The vanilla flavor is on point!! I will be continuing to purchase this product!
