  • Great value, lots of power
Style: E3800LFP+AC
Massive capacity, great value. To calibrate the BMS I let it fully charge, then left it plugged in several more hours while it balanced cells. Then ran it all the way until it shut off with a 1500W space heater, and charged it back up again. It was actually pretty well calibrated right out the box from the factory. Ran the space heater well over two hours. Critically for me, handled the load spike and ran my 1/2hp sump pump without hesitation. UPS mode seems to work fine. Be aware that like many units in its class while it's plugged into a wall AC outlet you are limited to drawing what a wall AC outlet can safely deliver, to get the full rated output you either have to unplug it or use the generator input instead. It's a nice unit and the trolley it comes with is pretty nice and rolls easily. However, a word of caution, this is at the limit of what I can lift very carefully up and down stairs one step at a time. Don't think your family will be easily moving this between floors in an emergency, it's not going to happen. Apart from the weight, it's been easy to use so far, no problems with the app and Bluetooth range seems pretty good - I can control it from e.g. upstairs. You can put it on wifi also but I tested that only very briefly. Seems to have shipped with the latest firmware already on it. Pretty easy to control from the panel, there's not a lot you really need to change in the settings. I updated the clock, turned on energy saver, and limited the charge rate to 50% so it didn't overload my circuits. So far so good. ... show more

  • It’s great
Style: E3800LFP+AC
This is great I just got this about a week ago. This was for my place up north off grid . But the other day was 101 degrees power when out . First time I had used it I took it out of the box and turned it on it had 60% batteries life but it worked all night with fans and lights we hooked the fridge to life saving. I am going to get an another one for my house. I highly recommend ... show more

  • A few small quirks, but I'm pleased.
Style: E3800LFP+AC
I waited a bit before reviewing, since I don't really know much of anything about Pecron. I've been running my 450 sf shop/studio, including a 110v mini-split (the runs 24/7) on an E3800 & three EP3800 expansion batteries, for several months now, with almost zero complaints. Working perfectly for my purposes. My only complaints are what seem to be just slightly annoying quirks (which might get worked out in a firmware update). 1. The batteries do not all drain close to the same. Out of the main unit, and three extra batteries, they'll end up ranging from 25% to 55%. This doesn't seem to change by fully charging to balance them all. 2. The temp setting to choose fahrenheit or celsius on the display keeps reverting back to the celsius symbol, while still displaying the unit temps in fahrenheit - which makes it look like they're running stupendously hot, until I realized what was happening, lol. 3. Sometimes it doesn't display the correct output wattage, but will show lower. I have tested, and verified, with a wattage meter. So ... a little quirky, but I can deal with it, until I get annoyed enough to look into any possible firmware updates - but working well, outside of those small issues. Now - if only the longevity will match the claims of how maby cycles these are good for - and if I don't have any parts of BMS fail - then I will continue to be pleased. Positive note: I did have questions early on for tech support, and received answers promptly, through both email & their Facebook account. ... show more

  • Works
Style: E3800LFP+AC
Heavy, but works like a charm. Running my RV without a problem. Charges very fast via solar if you have enough panels and sun. Plenty of extra battery for me. Very little power anxiety unless I try to run my old RV A/C

  • I like it alot. Decent price for what it can do.
Style: E3800LFP+AC
Pretty Decent Power station. Comes with everything needed including wheels which you will need (These are heavy) and I am 71 yrs old. Haven't ran it to zero (0%) yet but to maybe 15/20% and charge fairly quickly 3/4 hours in full sun while pulling a constant 100/115 watt load (Router/POE Camera's and Modem) Also have the F5000 which I just got a few days ago and will review soon. Seems decent also. A little different but the same mostly except also has 240volts which I need. Edit: Each one alone can run a 1900 sq-ft home for hours during short 1-12 hours outage connected to circuit breaker panel. F5000 runs well and Stove/Oven. Will run longer in full Sun during day light. ... show more

  • Worked very well... until the communication died.
Style: E3800LFP+AC
I bought this unit with three add on batteries for my company as a potential UPS for some major power system up grades (ups for NAS servers, and a few other items, with the long term goal of adding another several set ups units since it has add on potential and flexibility our our firm is seeking. It was ordered with three add on batteries. Considering the need for reliable function and, scalable modularity. It would make it a no brainer. On arrival it was set up in a low impact ups mode with its main task to support a Starlink router and offer a alternative power source for our current devices if our main source is off grid or on cloudy days. The good: so far the physical part of the unit works flawlessly and has worked flawlessly since it was commissioned. It hasn't missed a beat. We actually got to the point where it was moved into a more permanent location. Zero issues in that department. According to the APP the bms was keeping things very consistant, the App is not the most sophisticated but it did what it needed to do. It is slow and clunky, but always worked...the only issue was it was slow to connect. In our opinion it is essential due to the impossibly small screen on the host power station. That all changed this morning. After a long period of connecting...it was some times taking a bit longer to connect. After a quick status check this morning it started, giving readings that were obviously not right on the status screen. Eventually it just quit communicating. The android device it was on kept showing no host signal than it would connect, drop and reconnect ord ect..now there is no connection. Our firm does a lot of fairly sophisticated HVAC control work and my guess is that the comms board in the Pecron Host unit is failing or has failed or is corrupt. That is after several hours of very careful diagnosis. The physical end of the unit continues to function flawlessly. We were working to a higher rating had the communications not failed. Now it's going to be an email nightmare I will just leave it running as it still functions. and hopefully report a happy resolution. ... show more
