We bought this to protect our truck in the autumn from falling acorns since it doesn't fit in the garage. We needed something that looks decent, easy to put up, take down & store. This fit the bill. This was was a great purchase and had everything we didn't realize we needed! It arrived quickly, all but 1 piece was perfect, exactly as described and of good quality. The seller was wonderful & shipped a replacement out with tracking right away. I watched my boyfriend put it together himself in less than an hour and described the set-up it as "Legos for adults". The gloves were helpful to have from turning his hands black from the pipes. The sand bags are also nice to have because we have some high winds here in NYS near the lake and because it's on blacktop we only used a couple of the ties. Our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab short bed fits perfect! This looks like it will last us many seasons! ... show more

Appears to be build very well, and with 2 people installation was a breeze. Less than 2 hours. Inside dimensions are less than 10'x20', but it should still do the job to keep our boat out of the weather. It took me about an hour to completely assemble with a little help from my wife. Pretty straight forward if you follow the instructions. The frame seems to be pretty sturdy, but the tarp had a couple eyelets pop out the first use. I would also recommend buying different anchors because the ones that come with it pull loose with any decent wind. It's great for like a one-day family event, but I would not trust my truck under it for any amount of time here in Florida. ... show more

Was planning a video but ran out of time so.....maybe later. Hi. Jumping online to give an evaluation of the Peaktop10x 20 carport assembly and value. I had another portable carport that was about 50 % less in the initial cost which lasted around 5 years or so. The top was replaced twice and the metal connectors began to rust after a couple of years. A recent snowstorm caused catastrophic failure so I approached this purchase with considerable skepticism and concern. The first thing that I noticed was the light number of comments from those that purchased the system and the next.... the email address was 'generic' not company-specific so I was concerned. When the product arrived and I looked at the contents, the connecting pieces were somewhat scratched and a little scuffed. However, when I contacted the company by phone and email I was assured they would stand behind the product and provide the needed support to complete the project. I considered returning the unit but after a week or so decided to install. Was pleasantly impressed. The scuffed pieces and a couple of imperfections were addressed with a rust-proofing paint product. I was also informed that two processes are used in the galvanization process.... hot gal and cold galvanization. The cold is used because of the welding process and is a 'coating applied galvanization'. When I contacted a competitor to ask about their method I was given the same information. The similarity was that my 'customer service individual had the same name 'JOY'. Must be the same customer service clearance.LOL. The obvious is to take time to confirm the packing list and parts before beginning. I live on acreage so it was easier to separate the items. The one area that was a challenge was the corners to the roof and systematic assembly. Assemble on the ground the roof sections and the top. Elevate the sides beginning on one side and complete. The basic assembly could be accomplished in 1 to 1.5 hours with the tie downs and other tasks later, The rope and tie-downs are adequate depending on your location. I opted to find additional rope for tie-down at my local tool warehouse. 75 ft for around 4 bucks. I also opted for camouflage to disguise the tie-downs. A metal stake that is used for dogs was also used on the 4 corners, Because of my experience with the former manufacturer, I probably have over-done securing the shelter. The top initially installed with wrinkles and tightness which disappeared after a couple of days. We also added zip ties to the grommet bungies for peace of mind. Overall I consider this a well-designed and functional system that looks great when completed. Instructions are basically pics only.. A little weak Would give it a 5 rating other than the need to touch up what I felt were vulnerable areas from the 'cold galvanization process. The added bracing on either end and side is a welcome addition and one of the reasons I chose this model 2202w. The unit is tall and can accommodate a large vehicle. I can't comment on it's durability, but I like it so far. It is as expected. I put it together by myself and it took about 2.5hours. I would recommend buying a more sturdy anchoring kit that uses beefier augers and steel cable instead of what comes with the canopy.

I bought this for a property that is situated in a wind turbine area as an attachment to a 20’ shipping container. I assembled it myself and got the top on right before a nice as coming and before I was leaving town for a week. Though I didn’t follow the instructions closely for the tarp I was amazed to see only a single corner loose and flapping in the wind upon my return. This has been the perfect kit for my need. I plan on it becoming the chicken coup when in done with its current use as a nice Ariel coverup for my Sanford and sons I’m not a hoarder garage. Wear the gloves. It’s easy to put up. The item arrived in 2 packages within a week of each other. One package had all of the straight poles, the other one had the connector pieces, the top and all of the other hardware. Written directions were minimal, but the pictures and assembly stages shown were sufficient. It took 2 of us (1 male, 1 female, both in our 60's) about an hour to assemble, not including securing with ropes and pegs. 1 piece was missing the push plug that fits and snaps into place. I called the customer service #, left a message and received a call back . I was instructed to send pictures and explain the situation in an email to them. I communicated with Cicely who took extra care to make sure my replacement part was delivered to me promptly. I received it in a week. Thank you Cicely. ... show more
