This clap fits our table perfectly. I really like that it is collapsible and comes with a storage bag. My table had a grooming arm already, but I had wondered if I could get more usability from a bar that went from side to side. When I saw his arm, I thought that might be the next best thing and it is. I attached this arm on the opposite side and now I can use either side or both together which has greatly improved my usability of the table. The height is adjustable so that I can make it match the height of the arm that I already have. When not needed and it’s better to have one end open for better clearance I can just take it off and store it which is awesome. I am not a professional. We have 3 miniature poodles that we groom ourselves. We did take the plunge and purchased a grooming table, but this arm could also be attached to any table that has a 1.4” ledge as long as it’s between .4 and 2.2” thick. I would also make sure that the material of the table was strong enough to hold it and dog so I wouldn’t even consider putting it on a glass top even though it would technically fit. The metal on this arm isn’t as thick as the one that came with my table but seems to still do the job well and doesn’t bend. The only issue that I had was that the top half fits really snuggly into the bottom half and had to be somewhat forced down (yes, it pealed the paint a bit) after it was in just a few inches. I did make sure that the setscrew was completely removed to make sure that wasn’t the case. I feel like maybe where the setscrew was installed there is a hump inside that catches. Either way it wasn’t an easy fit. After I got it to the height I needed, that wasn’t an issue but definitely wasn’t expected. Hopefully that was just a manufacturing defect in just mine.
